Yes, the first aid centers (not the baby care centers) store the milk for you. Not all of the parks have refrigerators (I think only one park actually has a fridge) but they kept mine in coolers with ice bags around it and it was fine. They'll also store your pump for you since it's a medical device, so that was awesome. It really lightened the load!

This is such an awesome thread! I wish I'd seen it before. Our first trip to Disney World with my daughter had me researching Florida laws on bfing since its not legal or protected in every state. I don't remember getting a single nasty look or comment while at Disney World. I nursed uncovered (one shirt up one down) all over the place, but in the afternoon heat I really loved those air conditioned nursing rooms.

Are there any spots at Downtown Disney where I can feed a highly distract able 8 month old? She won't keep a cover on and I do not want to be exposed to the world! I've been there so many times...but never had to think about breastfeeding there before.

I just want to say good on all of you for nursing! I nursed both my girls until they self-weaned at 18m and 15m respectively. Only time I got a rude comment was from my own sister.

Last year my 10 month old was nursing and we found Pirates of the Caribbean, it's a small world, parades, people mover, carousel if progress etc very nice for breast feeding my boy.

I look at it as though if people get hungry they eat and same goes for the baby.

Now I usually had a thin blanket to drape over him so I didn't just whip it out. I mean you are at Disney and it is family centered and some kids don't understand if the haven't experienced it in their family. My kids are currently 15 months (still nursing about 3 x a day) and 6&8 years so they think nothing if it.

We are doing extended breastfeeding. DS will be 23 months old on our upcoming trip. I had planned to wean by then, but we aren't there yet and I may be BF a toddler in the parks. I can say that from past experience, I was kind of annoyed that many of the spots that would be perfect for BF discreetly in the parks (shaded areas away from heavy traffic, areas facing away from the main paths, with places to sit) were in fact Designated Smoking areas. I know they have to try to accommodate everyone, but DS is NOT a fan of having a blanket over his head so for my own personal discretion and so I'm not exposed inadvertently (DS has a habit of popping-off to take a look around if there's people walking by) I can't really just sit anywhere to nurse. So, I'm gearing up to likely have to use the Baby Centers or nurse on dark rides. We'll see how it goes!

Hm...that's a really good question. My 10 month old gets distracted while eating, too. My first thought was maybe behind Once Upon a Toy near the end where there's the big Genie. I'm not sure if there are benches though, but that seems like it'd be a quieter spot since it's not super close to the bus station. There are pathways behind it, but I wish I knew if there were benches nearby. Good luck! I'm sorry I can't be more help. Post if you end up finding a good place!

I don't know that the Winnie The Pooh bench could be considered "tucked away". But rather out in the open with people using it as a photo op.

I didn't end up finding a good spot...we didn't wind up staying long anyway. But had they had a baby care center like the parks, it would have been awesome.

I have a 9month old nursling who is also highly distracted. What has really helped was wearing a nursing necklace to keep him focused, and prevents me from getting over exposed. That might help you! They sell them at many baby stores and etsy, etc.

I am fairly large on top. (Well, okay, darn large on top.) But the nursing tanks from Target worked well for me. (They made 2 styles. It was the one with the 2 separate openings that worked for me. The one without them did not.)

I never used a blanket or cover, because those tanks were so perfect for us.

Because of the 2 separate openings, the side you were not nursing on was contained and covered. I would pull my regular shirt up, which covered the top portion of my breast. The tank hid my sides and stomach. And the baby hid the rest of the breast.

I would just sit down facing away from as many people as possible to latch him on, and then we were fine.

I'm no longer breastfeeding my son but I just wanted to say that I love this thread. What a fantastic idea for mothers to support each other, especially in the time of "mommy wars" and other such ridiculousness.

Just wanted to mention if the cheaper target/ Walmart tanks don't work there is a tummy cover called undercover mama......you hook it to your own nursing bra....it's kind of like a tube with hooks.....but if you have a larger cup size and the reg tanks don't give you enough support this is perfect! They are less than bravado or glamourmom tanks.

I made my own with cheap $6 kohls Camis. I LOVE them. I have a few target ones but they were too bulky at the bottom to wear under most my shirts but I love them to sleep in.
