Laundrys Club Card at Rainforest Cafe

Are you able to combine a welcome reward and a birthday reward from your Laundrys Select Club card on one visit? Or can you just use one of them?

This has been asked before, and I haven't seen a definitive answer. I just tried to call them via the Contact Us number on the landrys select website, but they didn't answer their phone.

The closest they come to answering is....

I have a welcome reward and a birthday reward available on my membership card. May I use the birthday reward first?

Rewards are redeemed in the order they were earned. Restaurants do not have the option of selecting which reward to redeem from a members account. The welcome reward will automatically be applied on the member’s first visit to the restaurant following registration.

How do I redeem Rewards?

To redeem your Rewards, simply present your Landry's Select Club card when you pay your bill. If you forget your card you can still redeem a Reward if you provide your server with the phone number on your account and show valid ID. Rewards are deducted in $25 increments.

Taken together it sounds like as long as you have $50 or more in eligible food/beverages (no alcohol in that $50) you should be able to redeem both.

But I would call the main number, and maybe call the RFC you'll be using them at directly, to see what they say. It's a good question!

I wonder if you have to show proof as to when your birthday really is. I mean if you dated your birthday as to when you are traveling I wonder if that would work?

In September 2012 my friend and I went to Orlando for her birthday and she was able to use both her Welcome Rewards and her Birthday Rewards on the same check.

Not sure what they do about verifying your birthday though.

The restaurant doesn't ask you to verify your birthday, if you have the rewards available you can use them. They also don't really care when your birthday is because no matter what date you give them, it only comes once a year.

I am considering signing up for the select club...so I would get $25 welcome and then I would sign up under DH's name and BD and his bday is 8/3, and we are traveling 8/10....my dd wants to go to TRex...even though I've told her it is the same concept as RFC....and we've been there plenty of times.
But if I could get $50 off at once, that would be sweet.

In August of 2011 I used both my welcome and b-day rewards at T-Rex. There was no problem at all. I get a sense that the rewards are deposited in your account and you can use them as you see fit!

It worked for me. That's what I did when we went in August. The points can be used at T-Rex and Yak & Yeti TS, too! Have a great trip.

We have combined both. We only went for dessert because the prices at TREX and Rainforest are high and the food is only okay.

YEP and what is also sweet is the lack of a wait. You only wait at most 15 minutes! YOu do not really get 25 welcome since you have to pay 25 for the card but you do get the BDay bounus. We have been members for easily 12 years and when they switched over to the new card they GAVE my husband the 25 plus the birthday money so it really was SWEET!

We paid a lot less for our cards though. We've been a cardholder for several years and was converted to the Landrys card. At least I assume you did the same.

They always take my ID when I use the card. Whether I have a reward or not. Because it can only be used by the person who's name is on the card. You can use both rewards as others have said but make sure you spend the whole amount. You can't bank anything. Say you only spend $40. The other $10 would be gone!
