DVC resale restriction from Mar 20, 2011

As many of you may remember, DVC made the resale changes back in March 2011. Many buyers rushed to complete their transaction before the deadline. The change was initially restricted from the closing date, then relaxed to the ROFR submission date.

Is there a way to confirm whether or not those buyers have made the deadline? That description or restriction does not seem to be found in the online booking site or anywhere. How can one prove it in case of the dispute? Is it from the original written agreement submitted and dated to DVC?

I know that one can currently try to book a cruise and see if they get refused... but is there an easier way to confirm it without getting disappointed right at booking?

If I log in the Member website, then go to:
My Membership > Vacation points > View Vacation Points Contract Detail

I can see that the Member type is "Purchaser".
I've always guessed if this is somehow related to the restriction status. I've purchased way after the deadline, so my points are certainly restricted.
People who purchased direct have a different definition of Member type?

No, Purchaser is usually just the lead name on the deed. Other names on the deed are given the Member type as Additional Purchaser".

Best way to check without asking is try to book a cruise or one of the restricted properties.

The member who bought should know if they made the deadline or not. And if you purchase that contract resale, you don't meet the requirements anyway. If you are looking at it for a transfer, you can probably get that trip cheaper by not using DVC points.
