Lunch In/Near Hollywood Studios

I currently have solo reservations at the 50's Primetime & Mama Melrose's (Fantasmic), but need one more TS for lunch. Already have reservations in EPCOT at the Rose & Crown, Le Cellier & Via Napoli. Am a picky eater, so places like Morocco or Mexico are out. What would you recommend? Is Sci Fi worth doing?

We love Sci-Fi, for the food and atmosphere both. But it definitely gets mixed reviews.

We also LOVE Sci-Fi! It is a MUST for my family every trip. In fact this is the one restaurant that my entire family always ask to go back to every trip (along with Wolfgang Puck Express and O'hana).

With that being said, we go for the burgers and onion rings. They are some of the best on property (IMHO) and the ambiance is amazing!

Sci-Fi is one we go back to every trip. I enjoy how quiet it is, and the burgers, onion rings, and shakes are great.

Sci-Fi is probably the best themed restaurant - we never miss - if nothing else it's just so different! We usually stick with burgers or reubens (did not enjoy the steak). I love the Turtle Cheesecake for dessert

We go to Sci-Fi every trip. I love the atmospshere. The food is good, not "fine dining", but good. Their milkshakes are awesome! But again, its the atmosphere that keeps us coming back.

Another vote for Sci-Fi. We go every trip, and are going again there in a little over a week. As already mentioned, the hushed atmosphere is a nice respite from the heat and the hustle and bustle in the park. A great place to recharge.

I can't say I am a big fan of the food at Sci-fi: but that is just because there really isn't anything fantastic on the menu. That being said, I go there every trip - it really is the coolest theming ever. If you have never been, you just have to go. I guarantee that you will be talking about it for quite a while. And frankly, the food isn't bad: I have such a great time there the food is kinda an afterthought.

Hollywood Brown Derby. The cobb salad is amazing (I usually get it without avocado and ranch instead of cobb dressing). Plus the rolls are really good too. They also have crab spring rolls which are soooooo good.

DS is trying to convince us that your scenario is the ONLY option if we ever go for SWW. DH is not so convinced...

I've been meaning to try Sci-Fi though I'm not a huge HS fan. I would book it only if you're actually spending three afternoons/nights in the park since you already have two ADRs in the park--I normally wouldn't since I'm not a huge fan of the park, but you might be different.

I think my family must be the minority. HS and AK are our favorite parks!
I always read on the boards about how bad the food is at HS but truly our family LOVES both Sci-Fi and 50's PT and our very favorite QS (in the parks) is the pressed/grilled sandwiches at Backlot Express and Studio Catering Co and of course the cupcakes at Starring Rolls. It is always so fun to hear everyones opinions on the board about everything from their favorite parks and foods to which Disney hotel they like the best.

Thats what makes this wonderful world go round

It isn't officially TS, but might I suggest Beaches and Cream?

Great selection of sandwiches, even has some health-conscious options. And an array of ice cream desserts that will rival anyplace on property.

The atmosphere inside is really cool, or you can eat outside overlooking the pool.
