But...

Why didn't anyone tell me about the little step into the bathroom!! I do NOT miss that at all!! I would even tell myself "Watch out for the step. Lift your leg. Don't stub your toe. Watch out for the step" and I still managed to stub my toe.

Seriously though, Disney does it right! We were on the Dream and oh my gosh I can't even begin to explain how great our trip was. All the tips on here were wonderful.

My only major gripe was the "Dine and Play". The "yellow shirt" people didn't do a very good job walking around the restaurants showing that they were there. Even our waiter told us that he didn't see them on two of the nights, so one of us had to leave dinner and drop them off.

Other than that - Brunch at Palo was amazing! Castaway Cay was beautiful! We did do the package with the snorkeling, floats, and bikes, but we were having so much fun at the beach, we never got on the bikes. We used the verandah every single morning, late afternoon, and evening. I loved my little travel size alcohol bottles to mix with the soda. The Martini testing was wonderful, I regret not doing Mixology. The weather was perfect. The deck floor is hot so I was thrilled to have swim shoes. The shows were incredible! Dressing up for Pirate Night was definitely a lot of fun! Participating in the FE was cool. My husband did the "Beer Mug" and I wish I had done it too because now we have an odd number. We brought on Rootbeer for my mixed drink, but ended up using it to make floats on our last night. I thought that we had plenty of space to put our "stuff". The hairdryer outlet IS VERY important if you want the dryer to work right. I am grateful for our small portable fan for background noise. Getting the fresh fruit bowl and cheese plate for room service around 5pm totally held the kids over till dinner. The breakfast menus are in the desk drawer. Aquaduck was SO SO SO FUN!! My sister and I laughed the whole way and then could barely get out because we were laughing so hard.

The other minor complaints - way too much food to choose from at Cabanas. I would just laugh at my plate - Crab legs, Lobster, Shrimp, and then pizza. LOL! We made jokes about how we were going to do our plates and we never were able to stick with one type of specialty.

Then there were our servers. They weren't bad, don't get me wrong, but I had read so many posts about how peoples servers practically knew them at the end of the first night. I didn't feel that from ours at all. They were very nice and all, but I just didn't feel like we clicked. Yes we had a table of 11 so maybe it was a little much, but my expectations were a little higher.

And maybe this part will help someone in the future because we found out about it while we were debarking the ship. One night my husband and I wanted chips and dip or any appetizer before dinner (we had late seating). Nothing on the room service menu was appealing, we wanted chips. We walked around all over the place and never found any. Flo's was more dinnerish and Cabanas was sit down only. I found out that the sports bar had appetizers. So if you have the munchies, go there.

And WOW do those pools get crowded!! Made me a nervous wreck. Thankfully once they did get crowded my girls wanted to leave and go do something else, but I can totally see how that accident happened a few months ago. Two different times I saw a parent jump in clothes and all when their own kid was jumped on from kids jumping in. They both were ok but more scared than anything.

I cannot wait to go back! Husband says five years, I bet we are there in three. Totally awesome!!!

Welcome back. Glad it was awesome. :thumbsup2

Yes, the dreaded step up into the bathrooms. It can be rough for the kids too.

Another reason to book a suite on the newer ships. They only have 3/4 inch high stainless steel thresholds. :)

I'll have to remember that! It doesn't help that I am 6' so I tend to want to duck too. My husband always knew when I got up to go the bathroom at night because of the muffled expletives coming from the bathroom.

We just finished our first crusie 2 weeks ago, booked a return one while onboard!:thumbsup2 Prior to the cruise, which was my idea, my DW keep telling me, we cannot book again, "we need breathing room with our budget". Well, on the last day she said we have got to book again!:flower3:

Loved the scrambled eggs at Cabanas, the best I ever tasted~
