Congrats to all who are planning trips! I'm so excited that our next two trips are booked and I can start pllikeng the details: Disney's HHI Resort in the early fall and a cruise in early spring. I'm trying to convince my husband to let me start looking for places to stay in Washington, DC for Fall 2014. We haven't been in almost 7 years. I think I've almost convinced him, and then I go and mention that I want to do some family history research while I'm there, and he gets that glazed look again. :guilty:

These sound like some great trips! My last non Disney trip was to DC (I don't really coubt trips to Vegas or my folks as vacations). I'd like to hear about HHI!

Nice to see you YOYO

I've been to HHI many times and highly recommend it as a vacation destination. We stayed at Disney's HHI Resort the last time, and absolutely loved it! I'll see if I can dig out some of the photos. I've never done a PTR, so maybe it's time I try one. :confused3

We love visiting DC. I usually sneak in a little family history research while I'm there - my great great grandfather was born there and lived there until his early 20's. I'm a huge Smithsonian geek and can't wait to get back to the natural history museum. OK, now I'm getting excited! :dance3:

It sucks that I don't have a trip planned any time soon :( I think the next chance I have to go will be if I get onto the program for culinary.

:cake:

 Good Saturday morning everyone. It's cleaning time again.
Hi, PIO! It's my dinner time, so I'm waiting on my DH to make a carry out run. :thumbsup2

Good luck with the culinary program! I've been in your shoes many times. I just think of a place that I'd like to visit someday-maybe and do some research on it. I file my notes and then if I ever get a chance to go, I have my notes on what I found that might be fun to do or places to see. It helped me get over the I-don't-have-a-real-trip-to-plan blues.

Thanks! I know I'll get back there someday, I just want to go sooner, rather than later :lmao: I miss it. Being a CM and able to go whenever you want really spoils you if you love the parks. I'm just gonna focus on kicking butt in school so I can hopefully get into the program and do my internship with them.

Well, I don't even start school until January, so it wouldn't be until the end of 2015 anyway. But I understand :)

DH is hoping that we plan a trip to Europe next. After this trip, I'm going to have to start saving for that. It may well be 2015 when we have sufficient funds! Hmmm......wonder if I could con-vince him about a Round the World ticket.

Up to you guys, obviously :) And since I have no idea if I'll even get in for well over a year? :lmao:

I think it's in the 60s here... The weather's been a little insane the last few days.

15 days into June and we've had 3 inches or 91 mm of rain. Parts of the state have had 6 inches in the last 15 days. I suspect Chicago might have gotten something similar in the last couple of days?

We had a dry summer. This rain is unbelievable!

Yeah, we had a really ridiculous rainstorm the other day. We actually had tornado-capable weather in Chicago for the first time in about a decade. There wasn't one, thankfully.

Its okay. We've got time to figure it out. But I think DH is really keen to head to Spain and France next.

Understandably so :lmao: I'd love to go to Europe, I've just never had the chance (or the money). Maybe someday.

Gotta go. We're supposed to be in the city in an hour.

I still have to work out if I can make Europe happen. It is $$$$.

Might catch you this weekend; but it's one of those in and out ones! :sad2:
