I can't book in January??

Does anyone know why I can not book my trip for January 2014?

The rates for 2014 aren't available yet, so booking online isn't possible yet. I believe you can call and make a reservation for room only. It will be the highest published rack rate until they release next year's rates.

You cannot book online until the new rates are released for next year.

You can book a room only reservation up to 499 days out, but you will be quoted the highest rack rate for the season and you leave a one-night's deposit. You have to call CRO.

Once the rates are released, then you can convert it to a package.

For many years, the rates were released in August. Two years ago, it was mid-July and last year it was the end of June, when the economy was still kinda iffy.

This year is anybody's guess if they will do it early or not.

So, if it's the highest published rack rate will it be automatically adjusted if it's lower? We've had our dates selected since my DH decided to run the Marathon. We haven't booked waiting for rates. I'm in no rush, but since there's thousands of people descending for Marathon weekend I don't want to leave it to the last minute. In the low season, we've booked as close as 3 weeks out.

Yes, your reservation will automatically adjust to the correct rate once the 2014 rates are released .

I am fairly certain that there is a web site that marathon entrants can use to book their hotel room for January now. Maybe rundisney? . Com?? I would call them to see.

If you call tell them that you are running the marathon they will let you book a package. I did it today. The first person I spoke with could not do it. She had to transfer me to someone else to do it. I was able to do hotel & park tickets. She said I have to add dining later.
