Scanned signed docs back to TSS 5/21 got email saying they had original docs and check 5/24 and only today 6/6 did I get notice that it was sent to disney for fofr.

That's 16 days that I figured had already passed what could be the hold up? Sellers, something else.....?

It's a fair question. But why bother listening to our speculation? You should contact your broker and ask him.

I plan on calling first thing in the morning. Works wifi was down and my phone didn't push email till I left so I got this after they closed. Just figured I would ask and get an idea before I called.

Thanks.

TSS is usually pretty timely with their sales, so it could be as simple as the sellers were out of town or something like that. You both had contracts to sign before it could be sent for ROFR.

I just signed contracts with TSS and had an email before the end of the day that it had been sent to disney. The seller must have held things up.

That's what I figured. That very frustrating though, why post a sale then sit on it for 16 days. If you are selling you must want the cash so move fast. Maybe it's part of a divorce or something but still very frustrating. I need to book a trip for the end of January for 2 rooms and our dates are not flexible so the sooner the better.

Well the 30 days start now .... So I wait and wait.......

once I got into one of those divorce contract, oh boy, from one attorney to other and then between husband and wife, then they won't agree on something, it took over two week for just accepting the offer. Lets see how long it takes to close. Just hope for the best, that mouse pass by you without getting a bite. TSS will close very fast once it is out of rat hole. Sending some pixiedust for you.pixiedust:

Doesn't need to be a divorce could be something as simple as a business trip or a visit out of town

Well called and got my answer. They didn't bank the 2012 points and since the closing is close to the banking window they needed to get banked. TSS needed confirmation that the points were banked before sending it over. Why it took 16 day is another question but its better to have those points banked than not being able to be used in January.

Your broker did a good job looking out for you on that, but it would've been nice if they had let you know what they were doing and how long it would take. 16 days to get the sellers to bank the points, receive confirmation of the banking and get contracts signed is a little long, but it's not unreasonable. Anyway, glad you got your answer. This is a long process you've signed up for, it would probably be in your best interests to relax and forget about it until you get the email regarding ROFR status. :)

I am impatient too . One big reason I bought direct is to not deal with these hassles .

Glad to see broker was looking after buyer as well.

Yes this is a good thing as we don't have a plans for a trip til late January and need to book 2 rooms for that trip which will take all of the 2012 and 2013 points.

Waiting is not my thing but after waiting for 2 adoptions you would think I would be better at this :rotfl2: however I will take the wait with the savings we got, so now I sit back and enjoy not being able to plan our trip :)

BTY when I called TSS he knew immediately what the hold up was and explained what was going on.

And yet, if you bought your contract now, they'd put you on a months-long wait list before you could buy anything. Not so hassle-free anymore.
