BLT owners since 2010. We love CR/BLT. We will back for our 2nd stay in 20 days. This time DS, DBIL and DNewphew will be staying there too. They booked a LV Studio and we are a 1B LV, so we are praying or a little pixie dust that we get vilas connected.

We have linked our resides with DVC, that what reservations told my sis to do.
Of course, no guarantee....but we are hopeful.

Does anyone have an email or fax numer that I can use to send a friendly greeting, to hopefully help us with our request.

....so excited to be back at BLT...I can not get enough of these boards....

Fellow BLT DVC owners...anybody else get the new GF DVC brochure in the mail ? My interest were somewhat peaked but then realized my fav 1 BR layout did not have a second bathroom like we have at BLT... love having the second bathroom at BLT even though it is just DH and me...makes for a much happier marriage !. Guess I have officially become a ...gulp..BLT snob !

Owner here...did not get anything in mail but did see photos of GFV they look beautiful....

If I did not have 1 in college, 1 private HS and 1 on his way to private HS...I would consider buying just for DH and me. I do not think my boys would appreciate the beauty.

Love BLT too.... Love 2 baths....be there in 20 days....

I'm not a BLT owner, but I agree, we loved having the extra Bathroom in our BLT stay than our usual BW (where we do own) stays. And we just bought a AKV contract resale, and booked Kidani over Jambo for the extra bath (and just to try it since we just stayed in Jambo on a cash stay). To go backwards to just 1BR doesn't make sense. Even looking at the point charts, we literally said if we were going to splurge on points and do another monorail stay, it's a much better value to do BLT LV or MK view.

Plus VGF doesn't give easy access to the Contempo Cafe cupcakes!!!

It arrived yesterday, but i haven't opened it yet. I own at BLT and BWV. I'll stay at the VGF eventually, but probably won't buy there. I'd be more likely to add on more points at BLT.

Hi - Just wondering if anyone here had heard about the upcoming MyMagic+ testing for CR and AKL guests? Apparently those checking in on either June 20, 21, or 22 are eligible for the test. Anyone here going on those dates? I was just curious to hear if they would indeed participate in the test and also then report back here with what they thought of it.

Returned home and this is a wonderful resort. We had the best view of the castle and the fireworks. My only disappointment was having to come home and not getting a good night time picture of the castle changing colors or the fireworks. If anyone has a nice jpg picture of these please private message me. Thank You

Has anyone ordered a birthday cake and balloons, or one of the chocolate characters/monorail from the resort? We are celebrating my niece's birthday on our next visit, and I'd like to do something. Disney Florist options seem expensive and aren't exactly what I'm looking for anyways (I've ordered from them in the past, it's easy but very overpriced).

Do any of the gift shops sell balloons? Even if I could just pick up those and a few treats, that'd probably be good. Any thoughts or suggestions for a 2 year old? Many thanks!!

Sorry if this is a repeat, but do the refrigerators in the rooms have a freezer section? Are they "real" refrigerators with a compressor or are the just pelter coolers?

DVC (BLT) refrigerators have freezer section. CR refrigerators do not.

We were in BLT in January 2012 and ordered a cake from the CR chef. He did a beautiful job on a two layer 10" cake decorated with the Monsters Inc. group. If I remember correctly it cost me about $45. I got the contact info off of the cake thread. I ordered about 6 weeks before we arrived.

I have never seen balloons anywhere except the ones they sell in MK.

We stayed in a GV last September at Kidani and loved it, but we've been trying to stay at BLT for the past 3 years and it's finally happening. We couldn't get BLT for the whole week so that's why we're doing a split stay. Sooo excited, November can't get here fast enough.

We arrive in December, and I want to plan a nice evening at the Contemporary. My kids loved the campfire and movie on the beach while at the Poly last year. I want to do this at the Contemporary too.

Does anyone know what time the campfire starts in December, it changes seasonally. Does anyone remember what time the movie will start?

No. POR and POFQ are the only resorts that still accept faxed room requests. It's best to call and add any room requests to your reservation.

I'm back in the Log-orail. DH's work commitments changed a little so he can now be away from work for more than we first thought so I booked 9 nights CR/BLV for August. BLT and Atrium Club were sold-out with the military rate, but BLV is our favorite view so we're very happy and besides, that hike from the Smokies to the MK was going to be a bit much

I even did Online Check-In since we're not staying CL. For those who are wondering, when you do OCI for CR, you only get a limited choice of pre-set requests. You can check up to two boxes for the following and you can't add a narrative request (you would need to call the WDTC to add other requests):

ODD ROOM - Must be DISers who prompted this request

BALCONY - This is not a legitimate request because all Tower rooms have a balcony and none of the Garden Wing rooms have them.

PATIO: This would be checked if you wanted a ground floor GW room.

NEAR TRANSPORTATION: Guests must request this often, but the difference between the furthest and closest room to either the bus or monorail would depend on whether you're in the Tower or GW and within the GW, the furthest room would only be maybe a couple of minutes more. Within the Tower, this wouldn't even be a meaningful request.

I believe that's all they need to do is tell the guard who they're visiting and they'll give them a temporary pass like you would get if you have an ADR. Maybe when you check-in you could confirm this just to be safe since I've never actually done it.

I dug deep into the KOOK Disney Files and found my December 2010 CR activities sheet. It shows the movie started at 6:30 and the campfire was from 5:30-6:30.

Nothing wrong with doing OCI! Just make sure, as dansdad recommended, that you have ALL your requests already in your reservation by calling the WDTC. OCI won't negate those, but you are very limited in what you can request within OCI (See my comments at the top of this post.)
