I just got back Thursday from my trip with my 60 yr old aunt who has never been to Disney, it was so cool to see her reaction to all that Disney has to offer. We stayed at Pop, and had a great time.
Now for the BIG NEWS....
1. IT'S OFFICIAL IM AN AP HOLDER!!
(it was extremely hard to get, more on that later)
2. I booked my bounce back for me & DH for 10/28-11/3 @ BC (YC was my 1stchoice, but currently no availability for bounce back)!!!!! I'm so excited because it will be our 1st

My only problems on this trip were with Magical Express & trying to upgrade package tickets to AP:
1. I was so excited to try Magical Express because DH & I always drive. We had to wait for 3 buses before we got one & then it ended up being a Mears bus
. AOA was 1st drop off, my aunt sitting next to window says "it looks like one of the bags weren't taken at aoa.". We get to Pop & of course my bags missing, I tell the driver that my aunt thought there was a bag left at AOA, driver swears up & down he'd never leave a bag there & he makes sure all bags are taken. Well mines missing so???? He says "I'll do you a favor & take you back to AOA to check, but a normal bus driver wouldn't do that for you (& I'm thinking, um You messed up buddy, not me). We get there & no bag on curb, a real Disney employee walks up & says the left bag was taken to the luggage check in, he walks in & of course its my bag!!!! I was so mad because he was not apologetic at all & he could've lost my belongings, delayed my check in & rest of my day!
2. So after bus disaster we checked in, got settled in room & went to AK. My 1st order of business was to get AP at AK guest relations & then I was told that because of the "new media" they can't upgrade my package tickets to an AP until after I check out because "I will lose everything on my card, including dining plan & access to room & that then it can take many hours to fix!" I ask for a manager who says same thing & says I can only upgrade AFTER I check out, I explained that thur when I check out it will be at 8:30a to get on bus to fly home & cannot possibly get it then. It was pretty much presented as "oh we'll.". I was so disappointed as I wanted AP to start using discount on trip!
So on tue I went to guest relations in Epcot & get a better answer. The CM tells me that after I use my last meal on wed from dining plan to then buy AP as issues with dining plan not working correctly, but that technically my aunts card should work through it all so she can redeem my snacks (technically my dining plan, but not to risk missing a meal). This CM was so helpful & made me feel so much better.
So wed after Ohana dinner we went back to MK & went to guest relations & I got my AP! This CM also said I had to wait until meals were used & also told me I couldn't use fast pass with new AP unless I went back outside & thru turnstile again because it doesn't know I'm in park since I just bought it.
So this was a giant ordeal, but in the end I got my AP! I was disappointed though that I couldn't use AP discount until wed night as I could've saved some more money!
Sorry this took so long, just don't want anyone else to go through either of these crappy situations! Through it all I just kept telling myself "you're in your happy place, stop worrying about stuff you can't change," that helped!
