I am wayyyy behind in my podcasts. Always am because I hoard them like a fat kid does choclate at camp. Sorry if that offends anyone...sort of.:confused3

I was listening to the Bob Memorial show and walking. You see the podcast team is my walking partner. Them and my jack russel Lilly. I began listening to the show years ago, and when I decided to make a change in my health, life, and body ( don't do backflips, it is a daily fight) the podcast came with me. Now I can't jog without them.

While listening to the show today, Pete said people make comments about stopping the memorial show. I audibly shouted "NO!" in the park. A few people looked my way. But then they already think I am nuts because I often laugh, cry, guffaw( ya I used guffaw), and blurt out responses to my invisible workout buddies( the podcast team).

Please don't stop the memorial shows!:scared:

When I got to know you all listening, especially Bob would become meaningful in my life. He was so....Bob. So ok with who he was and how he came across. I didn't realize he would impact me the way he has with the podcast help.

Getting to know Bob on the podcast somehow helped me get to know my own Mother in a strange way. I loved how similar he was to her in his little eccentric ways. How he loved Disney "his" way. Thinking of him in his little ECV reminded me so much of her. She had more Disney crap decoupaged, taped and strapped to that thing than you can imagine. It drove me nuts until listening about Bob. It clearly goes much deeper, but somehow seeing her in that different manner helped me so much understanding her and loving her for who she was.

We lost my Mom in Oct 2009. And now listening to those memorial shows gives me comfort selfishly. It's like a mini memorial to my Mom. I get to rethink of the funny things she did that drove me CRAZY, but now I miss them, and love them so much.

So thank you, and PLEASE don't stop doing them.:flower3:

PS special hug to Dianne for sharing him with us. She really touched me today on this show.

Thanks for you kind words & input. I hope we get to continue the memorial shows too. I really enjoyed being there. Believe it or not, that was my first time on the podcast. It was fun even though there were so close calls with near-tear episodes.
I think that a lot of people don't understand how much Bob did for the Dis & how much of what he did still impacts the Dis now. These memorial shows also remind us of how special he was & it is healing to talk about him together.

Well you did great on it! I was listening not watching as I said, and at first I thought it was Teresa with a cold :rotfl:

I am really touched with this post! My father embarrassed me daily but that is what made him well him lol.. I am sorry for the loss of your mother in '09 but now they are in Disney heaven :) thanks again for the kind words about the most amazing man i ever knew and the best father in the world.

I live in Massachusetts & was familiar with the area Bob & Diana lived in before moving to Florida. Even the market he worked at.

I was so thrilled to have Bob read my email during the 10th anniversary show! Only he could do it with the right accent! I think of him and the entire team every time I put on my purple gloves to do yard work. (Yes Julie I still have everything!) He was my hometown connection to everyone there.

I had lost both my dad just before and my mom shortly after his passing and it was like losing a brother. Like Pete said, Bob made everyone feel like he knew them.... and we all felt that every week.

I totally agree they need to keep up the memorial shows. I miss Bob and I think it's a great way to honor him. If people don't want to listen they can skip it. I re listen to episodes all the time because I'm mostly bedridden so I start from the beginning and always cry when I get to the ones of Bobs passing even though I know it's coming.

I still find it amazing that DH and I both felt so devastated when Bawb passed. I think it's the same reason I feel like I 'know' the rest of the podcast crew. It's because they are themselves on the podcast, they are honestly sharing who they are...they aren't 'playing' a part, so after listening week after week you begin to feel like they are your friends and you care deeply for them.

I'm rambling, but please keep up the Bawb Memorial Shows.

I agree. One thing I love about them is they're real and honest. I really appreciate when Pete was honest about having to be out of town for awhile and didn't hide anything. I feel like I know them and they are my friends. They have helped me through my illness and I can't thank them enough

I agree Bawb should always be remembered I never met him but he was awesome! His passion for life touched anyone who heard him speak or had the pleasure of meeting him LOVE him ans must say I HATE golf but would have totally gone Bawb golfing!!!:goodvibes

Loved Bob from day 1 and all the shenanigans he brought to the show. I never met Bob and just as a listener I was deeply saddened when he passed. People loved him for a reason, he was a great guy. What a lucky man he was to work with this crew of people and sharing his love of disney. I will forever enjoy hearing funny stories about him. He earned his place in our hearts and I am glad the crew will never forget everything he brought to the show.

God Bless ya Bob, you are missed.
