First up this morning are the final updates from emmebear, who's trip ended on Monday.


First an adult beverage update from Sunday, when emmebear visited the Contemporary Resort's lounge...









We'll call this a Grey Goose Vodka Cocktail (Grey Goose Vodka, Soda, splash of Cranberry Juice, and a Lime).




Then on their last day (Monday), emmebear & Emme headed back to the Contemporary, this time to have breakfast at...



















Here is Emme's first plate of food from the buffet...

"I couldn't resist the nuclear orange nacho cheese sauce. The cheese blintz was on the dessert section. I loved the sausage and my third helping of cheesy potatoes. I have no shame."

"Overall, Chef Mickey's delivered on breakfast. We're now 2/2 here! Everything was really fresh and replenished quickly. The characters were engaged and our CM was awesome."

"Our go to treat for Emme. It was smaller than last time but Emme only ate half so that's ok. I used my Disney Visa Rewards Dream Dollars for our snacks!"

Paula said, "I had the darndest time trying to decide what I wanted! Once I did decide and I ordered, my server brought out some bread..."





"It's a pineapple coconut bread."




For her appetizer, Paula chose the...





Conch Fritters with Key Lime-Mustard and Remoulade



They were served this way...





"I didn't like them. I can't pinpoint what the flavor is that I don't like in them but it's not pleasant to me. Very rare for me to order something that I don't like at all."




"So I moved on to my entree. I decided to go with something not quite so heavy, the Mallory Cobb salad."

Mallory Square Cobb Salad - Romaine Lettuce with layers of Chilled Shrimp, Crab Salad, Bacon, Egg, Blue Cheese, Tomato, and Avocado with a Key Lime- Mustard Vinaigrette

"The salad was a good portion with a lot of good flavors. I love that the dressing came on the side so I could add just a drizzle to enhance all the flavors of the salad."

Fab updates. Congratulations Jeff and Nicole, absolutely gorgeous pictures and what a beautiful dress. I am so jealous of the great cake flavours you have in the US, red velvet cake with Oreo filling sounds lush!

Paula, what a shame about the Conch fritters - when I saw the picture, I thought they looked lovely. Had you had them before? Or was that the first time you had tried them?

"We also had caprese skewers, which we all raved about! Also stuffed mushrooms and endive with walnuts, Gorgonzola and balsamic, fantastic!!!"

"For dinner we had a pasta course, penne in a tomato cream sauce, delicious! Choice of strip steak, chicken Marsala or fish! I know the steak and chicken were amazing, perfectly cooked and great portions! The roasted potatoes that came with them were great as well! I don't think anyone had the fish which was mahi mahi. Most of the kids had chicken fingers and fries, I tried Ava's and it was great!"

Our First Update of the Day yesterday was sent to us by Nicole (AvasMommy526).



She said, "Yesterday we spent the day at Animal Kingdom with my dad!"

"It was so humid in that park but we had a great time, except when a I lost my phone for a few hours! I located it and locked it from Jeff's phone but then I lost the signal and guest services didn't have it and just as we were about to leave the park and he only had 4% left on his phone, it rang. It was a very nice Spanish lady who found my phone. Except I can only get by on Spanish and she didn't speak English so I'm running through the little outpost shop yelling "does anyone speak Spanish AND English"?!?! A CM helped and she showed up 15 mins later with my phone! Bless her, there are good people!!! Ok, so onto the food!"





"We were all starving by the time we made it to AK so we all got the jalapeño cheese stuffed pretzels and they did not disappoint! We all loved them, I wish I had one now!"

"For dinner we had a reservation at Yak & Yeti. I love the restaurant! So cool! I didn't take many photos because my phone was missing at this point but I took some with my brothers and sent them. We all had the seafood curry and wow we all loved it! It was perfect, we added the sriracha hot sauce. Yum! And of course the wontons! Again amazing! I made the ressie for that reason alone but everything was great."

She said, "Well this is a fun morning...





"Completely and totally soaked...And my clothes are in transit from POR TO SWAN! The soaking happened when it was downpouring on Splash. So I decided to get a snack I've been wanting to try forever."

"This was REALLY good! I enjoyed it a lot. The sweet waffle with the Nutella and really fresh fruit was yummy!!"

The pics of Emme and Ava are really cute - and it's wonderful that a kind person actually returned Nicole's phone to her! As far as the food goes, the Malaysian seafood curry at Yak & Yeti sounds so good, and I had no idea that they offered sriracha as a topping! Sounds like a perfect combo

"For my appetizer there were a few things that looked really good but since I was cold I went with the..."




Corn and Smoked Cheddar Soup topped with Applewood-smoked bacon and Popcorn


"The soup was really good if you like cheesy soups...the popcorn on it was a bit weird but the rest was wonderful."




"One of the servers here is a hoot...she keeps trying to match up some of the kids. Keeps pointing me out as being here alone from California. But obviously this is NOT the place if you want a quiet meal!"

Tuna Melt on Sourdough Bread with Vine-ripened Tomatoes, extra sharp Cheddar, Arugula, and Herb-Olive Oil


"It was very good!! Obviously you have to like tuna but the flavors are excellent in this one."
