In one week I can make our ADRs for our November trip for the 13 of us! I am uninspired even though I usually love planning these things! I've written in some suggestions but am open to change and really need advice on Thanksgiving and also DHS. DH likes Sci Fi and the rest of our group has never been BUT I'd like to go to Fantasmic at 6:30 that night, are we smarter to do a Fantasmic package? If so I would tend to pick Mama Melrose over the buffet and I don't want to use 2 TS credits to do Brown Derby.

Help please!

Our needs: We are 3 families: Grandparents (2), Us (2 adults and 5 kids 9yrs old and under), SIL (2 adults, and 2 kids 10yrs and 8yrs.) The kids are good in restaurants but we don't want to do signatures. My kids still like character meals and the other 2 won't fight it.
We will get DDP for convenience of paying so plan on averaging 1 TS per day.

Please feel free to recommend good CS for us too. I always like to have an idea where we plan to go each day.

Park plans:
(no park hopping except 1st 2 day since others don't have hoppers, staying at AoA first 2 nights with no DDP then AKV for one week with DDP)

Just a thought....check out Boma's times for dinner (not sure they do lunch). The evening you have planned for late lunch/early dinner there, you had also mentioned being to MK by 4 pm. I thought that Boma didn't open for dinner till 5pm so that might not work. Could you/or would you want to do Boma for your Thanksgiving dinner or your AK evening?

We are going in September and are planning to be at MK by 4pm for MNSSHP...we were struggling to decide what to do for our meals that day so we decided to go to Boma for breakfast, head to DTD to look/shop around and do a late lunch at T-Rex and then hit MK by 4pm. We figured if we got hungry in the evening we'd hit Casey's or another MK QS. Another thought would be getting an ADR at 4pm at BOG or another MK TS that evening.

Here is my 2¢:
11/22 - Boma is not open for lunch, I think they open at 5:00. If you plan to be at MK at 4 and you plan to do BoG another day I would go to CRT if you don't mind using 2 TS credits. My next choice would be LTT, I know some people hate it there but I really liked it.

11/23 - I really like Coral Reef, and if anyone doesn't like fish I think their steak is wonderful. Also another tip for folks who are on the fence about seafood, if you ask they will serve adult sized portions of the fried shrimp off the kids menu for older kids or adults. I know people who don't really care for fish but enjoy fried shrimp.

11/24 - I have never done the dinner package but it may be a really good idea for a large family to get decent seats together for the family. I would do it even if you could only get H&V but mamas would be my first choice too.

11/25 - How about lunch in World Showcase? I always have to do at least one WS meal. My favorite is Via Napoli. Other ideas I would give is the Japanese Hibachi place, Rose & Crown, or if you wanna see princesses at the Meal in Norway.

11/26 - BoG sounds good

11/27 - I LOVE Ohana!!!

11/28 - Since you are staying at AKL I would definitely do Boma for Thanksgiving dinner or do Tusker House in AK.

I would also suggest Ohana for breakfast one day, one of my faves, maybe your final morning before MK.

Hmmm. Forgot Boma isn't open for lunch. Sanaa isn't either, right?

Chef Mickey's? Nope. Trail's End? Nope.

How about Whispering Canyon Café? Is that open at lunch time?
I'm really looking for a big meal at around 2pm so we can get into MVMCP at 4pm and not waste time eating (other than snacks throughout the night.)
(Our traveling partners won't have to use park tickets that way...just their MVMCP tickets. Doesn't matter to us because we have APs.)

Oh, and I realize that if we do Thanksgiving at the Fort, we will be over our TS allowance. I want to do something special for Thanksgiving though, so if people think it's really good then we'll just buy another meal out of pocket. Otherwise I guess we're looking at Boma or Tusker House. Any feedback about those two if you've had Thanksgiving meals there before?

What do you like about 'Ohana breakfast? I've never tried it, because I can't walk past Kona at breakfast time! It's my favorite! Talk me into it!!!

Well I would first say if you want to do a breakfast character meal it is the best option, you get Mickey and Pluto and I like LIlo and stitch, I like that its family style and not a buffet. If you don't care about the characters then I would do Kona but request the pineapple bread from Ohana they will bring it over if you ask. But now that I'm thinking of it I would live some tonga toast Mmmmm

:rotfl2: Yeah, I'm never going to be able to walk past Kona for breakfast!

Maybe when they make a DVC at the Poly we'll stay there and eat at both!

Now I'm inspired but my choices are tough!

I love Teppan Edo and it would be a fun place for 13 (would we fit at one table? We'd take up the whole thing, right?)

I don't want to miss Sanaa or Boma. My in-laws haven't been to either before and I think they both are must-do's.

We've been putting off and looking forward to going to Coral Reef for a while too, so I don't want to skip that.

:lmao:And now I want to go to Kona for breakfast too! Just kidding about that. Staying at AKV, that just won't work this trip, but I AM going at least once in September when we go on our own!
