Joe and I have to cancel this cruise due to a scheduling conflict:(. I realized today that I won't have enough vacation time to cover the whole cruise and I can't take time off without pay for vacation.

Have a great cruise everyone we will be there in spirit!!

I'm slowly working my way through this thread. I'm Karyn. My friend Cristi called me a little over a week ago to ask if I'd be interested in joining her on this cruise to celebrate her 50th birthday. I figured it would be a lot of fun. I myself will either be newly retired or retiring within a month after the cruise so I figure that's another good reason to celebrate by taking the WBTA. We aren't booked yet but we should be within the next week or so. We just have to decide on what type cabin & all that good stuff. We've both been on Disney cruises before but never one this long. I've only done the 3 & 4 day ones, one after a Disneyana Convention , The WDAC Cruise & the Pirate's Pin Cruise and Cristi has done a 7 day one and the WDAC one. Looking forward to getting to know & meet everyone. I will post again when we have a booking made. Hope to be able to join in some of the drinking events, they sound like a lot of fun. As a F & W veteran I think I can handle it.

Hi Karyn and Cristi :wave2:

Hope you book soon - this is a great group! Ah...the F&W Festival, one of my favorite times at Epcot. :thumbsup2

Sorry to hear you can't make it. Why do things like work get in the way of important things like vacations :(:(:(

:wave2:WELCOME to our 'little' group. Hope you book and join us in the fun :cheer2:

Hello everyone.
Some of you know me from UK trip planning, most of you have no idea who I am, hopefully we will all get to know each other.:goodvibes

Up until yesterday I had no intentions of booking another cruise, prices had gone beyond my limits, mainly due to us only being able to cruise in peak school holidays. Next year our Son doesn't start University until Oct so I thought I would look at Sept cruise options. I looked at 7 night cruises from Port Canaveral which looked OK but we have done both DCL Eastern & Western before (although not been on the Fantasy yet).
As I prefer the older ships to The Dream I decided to see where the Magic was sailing next Sept and found this cruise. Prices are exactly the same on this cruise as the 7 nts so looks a good deal. Unfortunately I never did an OB rebooking 2 years ago so have missed out on that but prices are still good.

Karen (DW) has to check with work tomorrow that she can have the dates then hopefully I will book tomorrow, a few days in Barcelona, 14 nights cruise & 7 nights in Orlando. Just hope she can get the dates off work now.:goodvibes

Yeah Paul and Karen..hope you join us!:thumbsup2

Welcome to all the new cruisers

hi to our new cruisers and hi to wayne! it'll be nice to be able to put a face to the username :)

I haven't gone thru the list of who is onboard yet, I just spotted your name Claire's and Sarah's, I am sure their will be more but want to make sure we are going first, then I can spend a few hours reading the whole thread. I don't recall ever joining a cruise meet thread before, I always start them.:goodvibes

It is very strange, I usually do all the organising so it will be good to take a back seat and let others arrange everything.

Anyway I booked:cool1:
Karen got 3.5 week off work no problem.:thumbsup2

Now I just need some time to read thru 140 pages, hopefully catch up and try get to know who is sailing.

A bit of info about us:
Wayne- Owned my own Florist business for 23 years.

Karen- Nursery Nurse for local social services for 26 years.

Mathew (Matt)- Will be age 20 when we cruise, he is just coming to the end of his first year at Lancaster University UK, if he gets the grades & a J-1 Visa he starts a year of study at the University of New Hampshire from August. He is considering a career in Journalism, links to some of his published work, both in UK & US here http://mathewgillings.wordpress.com/achievements-and-experience/

This cruise will be to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary (Sept 2nd) :lovestruc
