Girls! Which bag is your go-to for Disney? (Vera Bradley Hipster?)

I have two kids, so will most likely be carrying a bottle of water or two, my wallet, iphone5, hand sanitizer, a brush and some mints. I may or may not need to put my camera in there (depends if I can find a suitable camera bag). I was thinking Vera Bradley hipster.

Thoughts?

The hipster works fine as long as it does not rain and you skip Splash Mountain...my DD15 complained that it was a magnet for water :lmao:!

I used my hipster on my last trip, and I thought it worked out wonderfully. The size was good and it held all the things I needed to carry without being in the way all the time.

I'm partial to Overland Equipment bags. They have slots for cards, zip compartments for cash, and a fleece pocket for my camera. That means I don't need to carry a wallet or a camera case.

I used the Vera Bradley Claire this past trip but am thinking about a waterproof back for my next trip because it rained heavily two weeks ago when I was there and my bag definitely got soaked.

I am planning on bringing my Vera Bradley hipster or backpack. I have a bunch of the giant zip lock baggies and was planning on bringing some. I am going to put one in my bag for the day and, then, if it rains or we go on a wet ride, just slide the bag into the baggie until the wetness is over.

I have a piazza bag from ebags. It has a zip open pouch on one side specifically designed for water bottles. It has other great organizational pockets too. I like Kelly Moore camera bags and usually take one of those when I take my DSLR.

Thanks! I really like that piazza bag and the colour choices! I think I'll order one for our upcoming trip:goodvibes

I prefer my VB backpack to my hipster. After a few days of wearing a crossbody bag, my shoulder starts to feel it, but if I distribute the weight in my backpack, it's not a problem. If I'm traveling lighter (aka without kids) then I can use my mini hipster and that is fine. The regular hipster is just bulky to me, but YMMV!

Have a great trip! :)

I love my Vera Hipster. I've also used my Vera Saddle Up, which is a little wider. The flaw to that one is it doesn't have a zipper closure, but it still didn't come opened easily.

I have a Vera Bradley hipster and use it for everyday, but I prefer the Overland Equiment Donner bag for the parks. It has more small compartments, including some that zip closed, and it is easier to keep all of my stuff organized. Plus, they are not as "girly" so DH doesn't mind taknig a turn carrying it.

I have an eBag that I love, and dare I say has too many pockets! I used it for the past 2 trips. I can hold a water bottle in the side mesh pouch and sunglasses, wallet, 1st aide stuff, touring book, phone, snacks, even 2 rolled up poncho! This thing realy holds a lot.

I just recently purchased a baggalini as my toddler 'diaper' bag and have been loving that. I will probably bring this bag on my next WDW trip because we will not have a stroller and it wll fit a bit more and be just a little more comfortable on my back as opposed to hanging at my hip.

I just ordered the Ebags cross body for my trip. I love the Piazza bag but was looking for something smaller as the DBF will have a backpack for the larger items.

ah yes, I hadn't even considered that it isn't waterproof. Hmm... those other bags look nice- I'll have to do a little research.

Any suggestions for a little backpack/crossbody for kids? My 7 and 10 year olds like to carry their own spending money and autograph books.

I bought an eBags villa cross body in purple and just got it, it will be the perfect size!!

Check the ebags.com site... They have a lot of smaller options too and have fast free shipping :)

I used the Hipster for several trips, but now I've started Using the Vera Bradley mailbag. It doesn't really feel heavier or bulkier when I carry it, but it has a lot more space. If it was just DH and I, I would take the Hipster. Once DD no longer needed the stroller and we lost that storage space, with her constant accumulation of little things around the parks, her autograph book and pens, her pin lanyard that she gets tired of wearing because it is "heavy' and her "can you hold this?" the Mailbag works much better for me!

I agree the only drawback is that it isn't waterproof. I do keep a plastic bag to wrap it in for water rides.
