Hi there!
I have been reading loads of the trip reports on this site, and I have wanted to do ours for soooooo long...and even now cant really do any of it...so I thought I would start with this pre-trip report malarky and would go from there.
So firstly introductions!!!

Me - Sarah - 24 - a teacher from the UK!
I love Disney...I went 5 times between the ages of 7 and 16. It literally has always been my favourite place on earth. I get married to the best guy in the world on 27th July and we fly to Disney on the 29th July. We have been together since we were 15/16!

DH (to be) - Alex - 23 - some computer things (also UK)!
Now where do I begin! At the beginning stages (in fact for about the first 7 years of our relationship) he detested everything Disney! He didnt believe in the magic (and still kinda says it doesnt exist) and thought it was somewhere that really would be quite awful, and stupidly overpriced. He knew that I would always want to return and he eventually relented, telling me we could go one year after being married. Jokingly I suggested we should go for honeymoon to save money and well he agreed. I was a bit shocked and didnt believe him. But anyway he wasnt lying...we booked it a couple of weeks later and we are going! To be honest he is stupidly excited now...he chose our hotel and said we had to have a few non Disney day/parks of any kind days. I was happy to oblige as it meant I get to go again.

Now onto the trip! Im going to list what we have planned for each day, along with our dining reservations! I am sorry if your bored reading now!

So we fly on the 29th July leaving Manchester Airport and arriving in Orlando International, flying with Virgin Atlantic. We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge (his choice, which I am happy with as I have stayed there before and it just so happened to be my first choice aswell) Yay! We are on the Disney Dining Plan as it was included for free in the price.

So here's what we have planned!
Monday 29th - Get settled in the AKL and have a wonder and hopefully a swim, hoping jet lag doesnt get the best of us!

Tuesday 30th - MK
Breakfast - Boma
Dinner - Be Our Guest

Wednesday 31st - AK
Breakfast - Tusker House
Dinner - Jikos

Thursday 1st - Blizzard Beach
Dinner - Whispering Canyon

Friday 2nd - Free Day (Alex has chosen shopping for this day)!
Breakfast - Chef Mickeys

Saturday 3rd - Universal Studios

Sunday 4th - Seaworld

Monday 5th August - HS
Dinner - Sci-Fi Dine-In

Tuesday 6th - Epcot

Wednesday 7th - Typhoon Lagoon
Breakfast - Boma
Dinner - Yachtsman Steakhouse

Thursday 8th - Free Day (Alex has decided that despite wanting to stay away from Disney he would like to explore the different hotels on this day )
Dinner - Portobello
Also have booked to see La Nouba on this day!

Friday 9th - Discovery Cove

Saturday 10th - IoA

Sunday 11th August - Magic Kingdom
Breakfast - Crystal Palace

Monday 12th August - Fly Home

So these are our current plans! Have lots I still need to do and get booked! But we are excited! (Alex mostly about the flight, food and hotel...but hey ho...watch this space to see an adult man turned into a Disney convert)!

Sounds like a fab trip - I would LOVE to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge - it seems perfect for a Disneymoon!

Discovery Cove is a fantastic day - I found it so relaxing :beach:

Your plans look great - not sure if you should plan for more time in Epcot though? Even if you just went back one day to go round World Showcase so it wasn't necessarily a theme park/rides day? I find wondering around the countries, looking through the shops and trying different food and drinks can be quite romantic :)

Hmmmm well we don't really have any more time to fit it in! There aren't too many rides that we really wanna do in Epcot and it is EMH in the evening so u think we will have plenty if time! I agree its very romantic though! Need to find the perfect place to watch illuminations! x

Sounds like your going to have a great time :)

I do agree about Epcot though, IMO it's a fabulous park to spend an evening in, just strolling around world showcase. Perhaps if not too tired you can do it after sea world/universal/IoA :)

We also like having a look around the other hotels. Lunch at the poly is one of our faves (capt cooks for counter service followed by a cocktail on the beach looking at the castle)

Sounds like a great honeymoon i'm sure he'll be converted by the end of the trip.

Sounds like a great trip you have planned, I'm sure you'll both come back wanting to plan that next trip.

Just a little bit excited! Just booked our seats for the flight out there! yay! :D

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! How exciting to be honeymooning at WDW. You are living my dream, as we hope to honeymoon at AKL too! Look forward to hearing more :goodvibes

What an amazing honeymoon! And I love all your food choices! My DBF was very reluctant about Disney, but he loves rhe backstage stuff and the technologies!
Xx

Alex is very into theming when it comes to parks, so I know he will be blown away by Disney/Universal - alton towers/thorpe park just font compare! He also told me I can call it a Disneymoon! He must be softening up! :D xx

He will be blown away by the parks in Orlando! Alton and Thorpe are nothing in comparison no matter how much they seem to be trying of late! He will never think of uk parks again! On a plus note that may mean he'll be more likely to want another holiday to Orlando!! You could be into a winner

That's what I'm hoping for! He is so excited about going now - although he never mentions the parks - he's looking forward to the flight (he's never flown long-haul or with virgin), the hotel, our non park days, and the food! I know he will love the parks when we are in then though!

Virgin is definitely great to fly with! I'm scared of flying but felt I had enough to do to keep me quite busy! You wait till you've been in just one park I'm sure he'll be super excited about the next one! :-)

Ooh if he's looking forward to the flight he's definitely a newbie ;)

Sounds like a fab plan and don't despair. I took my now DH on honeymoon to Disney. We did 9 days in Orlando and a week in Jamaica because that's here he wanted to go so we did both. We have been back to Disney 5 times with the kids but I've still only been to Jamaica once.... :)

I have however never managed to get DH to agree to stay at AKL, he thinks it's too far out, so I'm looking forward to your full report, I'd LOVE to stay there personally.
