Just spent some time catching up - I'm so glad that you really enjoyed your time at AKL, including Jiko and Boma. Besides being far from most of the parks, AKL has so many great things going at it, and you found a lot of them. :thumbsup2

Your on-ride photo from Dinosaur is great - definitely worth the purchase. :lmao:

Finally, the check-in experience at the Yacht Club sounds incredible! It was interesting that the suite looked like an ordinary room at first, which made the surprise when you turned the corner that much more powerful. Such a magical moment, and I loved reading about it. :goodvibes

One more thing - Happy Mother's Day, Brenda!

Brenda!!! Hi!!! I have been so crazy this last week, my dising is seriously lacking! I got your pm and wrote back! You are just a lovely person and I am so happy to be on the Dis with so many wonderful people! :goodvibes

Great updates of course! I love, love the CL lounge!!!

I hope you are having a wonderful Mother's Day!!!!

CL at YC looks fabulous!! Nice choices ;) I don't blame you taking it bk to that super suite! Waiting to hear what happened with raglan rd...we love that place

That bag of toiletries..awesome lol

Oooo - I would love some of those brie & raspberry en croute right now. With a lovely glass of wine. Yummy. Hope you had a wonderful day full of love today!

Yum! The CL offerings look really good, just the thing to hold you over until dinner. And I don't blame you for taking it back to the room! I would have to!
What's this (or so we thought) business? LOL Hope it's not bad news!

Hi Wendy! I could have hosted a happy hour in the room with other CL folks!

Hmmm.... tune in to see.... not everything goes as planned sometimes! ;)

Uh oh......

I don't blame you for eating in your room, it was so gorgeous!! I still can't get over that upgrade! PBJ is one of my favorites, especially on toast.....:)

It does seem silly to have all those appetizer offerings and zero in on the kid section! :cutie: Ahhhh the smell of toasted bread with PB (and Jelly) is awesome! I know what you mean. :thumbsup2

I would love to do concierge again. We did it once and Wilderness Lodge and it was just OK. Some of the other places look like they provide better tasting options than we had there.

I wouldn't want to leave that room either !!

Hi Susan! I agree, the CL food varies since I just saw a review of the Poly who had completely different selections including the Smuckers Uncrustables! I want some of those!

I'm the same with you when it comes to food at club lounges: Vacation + "Free" Food and Drinks = Every Hour Is Meal Time! Especially when you have your own personal sunroom!

And not that it was a competition, but I liked your plate selection better than Em's (hers looked a little olive-heavy).

Ha! Sometimes I wonder why am I sharing photos of all the food I ate to show everyone what I completed oinker I can be? But if it's free (well, technically I did pay for it) then it's hard to resist!

Em did go heavy on the olives but that's because she had to have one for every finger! (Don't tell me you've never eaten olives from your fingers? No?)

You'll have to let me know how the reservations went. :)

Ooh, I love Brie en Croute. I've never tried it with raspberries. I make a version with brown sugar and walnuts that's so good! Someday when I can eat fat again, I'll have to make it. Is Raglan Road new for you? I loved it when DH and I went for our anniversary a few years back.

Hi KristinAnne! Oh goodness! Your version of the brie en croute sounds delicious. I may have to try that. The raspberry version they served at CL was absolutely delicious. :lovestruc

Well.... I can say that before this trip we hadn't been to Raglan Road. (Other than walking by and saying hmmmm... we need to go there sometime!)

Oh wow, it must have been so cool to take your concierge lounge food back to enjoy in the sunroom :)

I swear I would have found it soooo hard to ever leave that room!

Hi Linda!! Hors d' hoeuvres in the sunroom was a luxurious experience to say the least. :)

Yeah, I think I would have taken the food back to that glorious room too, even if it wasn't busy. :thumbsup2

Oh and look at all the SWAG in the baggie. Nice!! :cool1:

My that's an ominous tease for the next update... Uh Oh.

And since this is my first post here since the big 9th place most viewed reveal, my most sincere congratulations. :worship:
I know we've talked about it elsewhere, but this is a really big deal and you are most deserving of this honor.
In Trip Reports you are second only to Jess, and well, that thread is a beast that shows no signs of slowing down.
That is just so much awesomeness I can't even stand it! :goodvibes

Thanks Rob!! Yes, our shampoo swag arrived in a neat little baggie. Now we could smell like grapefruit!

Such suspense......this is as intense as me having to wait for you to post your next FB update for your last trip!! Ha ha, how's it feel?? :lmao:

And thanks for the congrats! The top thread ranking is only because of the room, it's not me!!! :rotfl2: Which leads me to say.....

I completely understand people being curious and popping in to catch the updates and lurk along ... completely fine and thanks for doing so... BUT, as these good people who have joined in and subbed can attest.. I paid them all very well to leave nice comments. (You can collect your dime at the door! :rotfl:)

Great update! :)

Thanks wiiiii!! I have to stop doing that and use your proper name. Thank you Wiigirl! :)

The food offerings look yummy.

Happy Mother's Day, Brenda.

Kathy you are completely precious and I love your greeting!!! Thank you and I hope you enjoyed your Mother's Day!!

I am late but I am going to join in on your report. :)

Hi there Sarah! (Yes, I peeked at your TR and am going back to read more!! You are a fellow BLT and BC lover!! Makes complete sense based on your clever TR title!!)

THANK YOU for joining! I'm so glad to have you here. :)

Judy, THANK YOU so very much for the SWEET Mother's Day greeting. You are so very thoughtful and it is appreciated. Hoping that your Mother's Day was blessed!! My best gift today was getting a call from my youngest son in Afghanistan. :yay:

Hi Mr. DDW! Oh, thank you for taking the time to get caught up! I thought of you at Jiko and Boma - darn! Boma didn't have the banana foster french toast when we were there! We have already booked a return visit for August for 3 nites. (Hmmm I recall someone else visiting in August last year....:scratchin)

Ha! Yes, I showed that Dino that I can dish it out too!

If we had know that the main entrance to the suite was just around the corner in the hallway, our "reveal" would have been different from that door. Since the regular bedroom was the first door we came to in the hallway, that's where we started. Yeah, it totally changed things when we made that right turn. :thumbsup2

Thank you so much for the sweet Mother's Day greeting.

Hi Nicole!! You have a very good reason to be absent from the DisBoards right now. I wish you all the very best in the next what week and a half? Your a very welcome, it's my pleasure! :)

Thanks, Mother's Day was lovely. I hope it was the same for you with your precious little Ava!

Hi Patti!! Thanks, yes there's nothing like having appetizers before you head out to dinner.

Ahhh you are another Raglan Road lover... stay tuned. :goodvibes

Oooo - I would love some of those brie & raspberry en croute right now. With a lovely glass of wine. Yummy. Hope you had a wonderful day full of love today!

Hi Alysa!! Awwww and if it was possible I would have invited you over to have wonderul brie en croute and wine with us in the room!! (Bringing Robbie along of course!)

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!

I would love to post photos of all of the good food I eat at Disney and other trips. The problem for me is that I start digging into the food as soon as the plate hits the table! :rotfl: By the time I come up for air from my pigout and without fail think to myself "Oh, I forgot to take some pictures!", the food is either mostly gone or in an unpresentable state! ;)

Ok, Em's olive plate now makes more sense! :lmao:

Hope you had a great Mother's Day!

Hi Brenda!

Love the CL pics. It's my dream to stay CL some day but right now I'm trying to achieve the smaller dream of just going back! :rotfl2:

As usual, I love your report!

Lots of updates to catch up on! :thumbsup2

Sorry your Epcot day was a little soggy. :( Frank and I got soaked last year after our dinner at Tutto Italia. We came out of the restaurant and the rain was coming down in what looked like a solid sheet! Of course that was the day I decided to leave the ponchos in our room since the weather was gorgeous without a cloud in sight. I can't believe I made such a rookie mistake! :headache: We were soaked to our socks before we'd made it to Future World, LOL! The year before that, my sister and I got pretty soggy on our way to Tutto Italia (see a pattern here?) and the hostess greeted us with towels and disney plastic bags to stow our rain ponchos in. Needless to say, Tutto Italia is not in our dining line up this year ... :scared:

We love Universe of Energy! Besides being a lovely 45 minute sit-down in air conditioning, we love watching Ellen kick Judy's butt, LOL.

The CL offerings at YC all look delish! I love brie en croute, mine has apricots, dried cranberries and toasted almonds. Too good!

Waiting to hear what happened at Raglan Road ...

Hope you had a very happy Mother's Day Brenda!

Wonderful updates Brenda! Sorry I am so slow in responding. I return to CA tomorrow :( so I will have more DIS time for about a week till I make my own trip to WDW.

Thanks Dave! :) Em explained about the olive situation... she was trying to go for the kalmata olives but kept getting the green ones in the scoop and didn't want to be rude and throw them back.

Hi Brenda!

Hi Denise! How the heck are you? Thank you for reading!!

I love your dream!! Just making it back to WDW is enough!! ::yes::

Lots of updates to catch up on! :thumbsup2

Hi Carol! You appear to have had bad rain juju with those restaurants!! My DH last trip wondered what my deal was with the rain ponchos.... he said I wouldn't melt. He's the one who ended up buying umbrellas and towels to dry off!! :lmao:

Mmmmm your brie en croute sounds delicious! :thumbsup2

Thank you so much for the Mother's Day greeting!!

Wonderful updates Brenda! Sorry I am so slow in responding. I return to CA tomorrow :( so I will have more DIS time for about a week till I make my own trip to WDW.

Hi Paula! Welcome back from your visit with Hunter! How exciting that you are turning around and heading to WDW within what a week?

Look for some information regarding December soon.... :goodvibes

Well, off to work I go....

Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!

I love seeing pictures of the lounge food. I always feel like a stalker. I just know I'll probably never stay concierge being DVC and all that. It really does look like such a treat.

I don't blame you at all for heading back to the room for a little noshing.

Those are the same products that have at HHI and I'm pretty sure that's what we got at VWL in October.

"Or so we thought?" That does NOT sound good! :scared1:

Hi! I followed you over from my TR and am following along after taking some time to get caught up. What a great mother & daughter trip with an awesome upgrade! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to read even more!

Loving your trip report!!! I have a 20 year old daughter and I'm planning a mother/daughter trip for us next year. If it is just half as fun as yours is, we'll have an amazing time. Your "upgrade video" had me completely teary eyed watching it. My 12 year old son asked, "Why are you crying? Do you know these people?" No...it's just Disney pixie dust. I got a little in my eyes. :lovestruc pixiedust:

Hi Mr.
If you make it back to Boma, hopefully they'll fix the bananas foster french toast issue. :thumbsup2

As for August, all I can say is maybe. ;) My summer work should be done by then, so now it's just about hoping for pixie dust and reasonable flights (prices have gone up since last summer, but they've been jumping around so we're playing the waiting game). :goodvibes
