THANKS GUYS! Been up getting lunch ready for the family (what's wrong with that scenario? I thought MOTHER'S were taken out for lunch on Mother's Day? ); Mom & sister's family joining us shortly. My Mother's Day gift is a toothache...; but the real "bummer" is ... the "soccer God's" weren't on Redstorm's side this morning. Lost 0-2. DGD was out most of the 2nd half with an injury...but she DID get yellow carded! Oh my...she RAN INTO the goalie trying to score! My tough little girl is a real trouper...guess I'll just have hugs...and the ice pack waiting for her when they get back from Houston ... and a really good lunch!

That is pretty cool, isn't it? Doesn't happen very often when 4 teams are so evenly matched. Sure makes for an interesting tournament!

DD called earlier; according to the tournament website, REDSTORM has the tie breaker edge. Bad news...trying to get to bed early for a little extra rest didn't exactly work out the way they planned. The toilet busted in their hotel room and there is "no more room in the inn". So...as Coach (son-in-law); leading team scorer (WITW's Redstorm aka DGD); and top defensive player (DGD's best friend) have already "drifted off to Dreamland", the hotel plumber is stomping through their room and attempting to fix the toilet! Never a dull moment with our family....

That's too bad about the toilet. Hope they were able to get it fixed.

We spent the morning in the pouring rain. Kept having to take breaks because it was pouring so hard. We won the first game but by the time our second game came they were already 2 hours behind.

That's too bad about the toilet. Hope they were able to get it fixed.

No fix on the toilet! They had to use the lobby restroom this morning...not exactly the ideal start to the day! The did get the night "free" and 10,000 points back on the credit card! I ENVY the "pouring rain" you got this morning but know it was frustrating. I'm actually surprised you're back home already! Hope your Mother's Day was a good one otherwise.
