I don't recommend it to anyone, really.

It's dark and kind of loud and not much of anything to bother with.

DD7 loved it but DS1 was a little freaked out by it. But he's really shy and quiet to begin with. Dd loves this kind of stuff and she loved haunted mansion since she was 2. It all depends on your child's fear factor.

both of my girls 8 and 4 love Captain Jack. I expect them to go pretty crazy over this.

Yes it's scary for young kids judging by the screaming, crying youngster behind me who looked about 4 years old. He cowered on the floor with his ears and eyes covered most of the show and alternated crying and screaming.

Made for a not fun show for rest of us people in the room.

My Dh and I both thought it was the biggest waste of time. 12 minutes we'll never get back. Our 3yr old and 16 month old didn't seem interested either.

What is it exactly?

It is an 8 minute "show" of sorts.
Many guests think they are watching a pre-show to an attraction,
then find out that "that's all there is," as they are routed back
out the door and into the street.

It's housed in the same space as the previous movie trailer exhibit, the unloved "Narnia" experience.

HERE ya go.

Well - its at least a nice really cool place to go in when the blazing summer sun gets too cool (although a much better option would be to the really cool museum next door). Capt. Jack is very underwhelming --- basically walk into room where a narrator talks about various things while some neat pirate props+ light up, etc. I love the POC series so went to it but found myself really wanting to find a way to sneak out.

you stand around the entire time and it is really a boring "show". I personally found it a waste of time and cannot recommend it to anyone.

My 5 year old loved it, but I had to take my almost 3 year old out after 2 min. he started screaming shortly after it started. DH said it was pretty lame & that I didn't miss much....

IWish I would of read this. I waited 30 minutes outside.

Was that today? We saw a huge line there after seeing Jango and I told my family the DIS said it was lame, keep moving :)
