American Idol Season 12 Official Thread Part Two

Wow, I stand in the minority here. This household will not be continuing to watch Idol. Angie should have won this. Neither of the two girls left had as much talent and Idolesque qualities as Angie did. Sure, they could sing, but its not just about that. We were stunned when she didn't make it. We could care less who wins now, and actually glad she's free to make her own album now. That's the one we'll be buying!

While I felt bad for Angie, I think she'll do fine in the long run. She's really talented and the show has given her name recognition. Look at how many of the runner-ups have done better than the winners. Sometimes its a good thing not to win and be locked into the "Idol" contract.

So you won't be watching the final just because your favorite went home? :confused3 I can't imagine investing so much time in watching the show, since auditions began, and not watching the final. I didn't like Philip at all last year, but still watched to the end.

I honestly didn't care who went home last night, I like all 3 of them. They will all have great careers. I will probably buy all 3 of their albums when they come out.

Loved seeing Lauren again, and looking forward to seeing Adam next week.

Loved the home visits, so emotional. I didn't understand something about Kree's house though, where she grew up. The house is in such disrepair, yet there is still furniture and their belongings in it. Odd.

Looking forward to the final. I don't care which of them wins, they're both great! I just wish they could sing a song of their own choosing, instead of always being told what to sing.

Wow. I am shocked by your reaction. Not everybody's favorite can win. Over the years, everybodys favorite has been voted off at one time or another.

And, it doesn't take being the winner to have a fantastic career -- just ask Jennifer Hudson or Chris Daughtry. All 3 of these ladies, if they have the talent, will now be winners.

Wow.... not watch because your favorite didn't win... With such incredible talent.
Apparantly, you are in the minority, as many other people clearly feel that Angie should not win it.
It comes off as a very immature POV. (and, I suspect that many of her supporters are the young teen girls - who are known to be this way, and have been described as 'rabid' for their post on chat-boards.)

No doubt about it.. LOVE her, or hate her... Angie still has a ways to go. She and her talent are still undeveloped, narrow, and very one-dimensional.

Anyhow, I was SO disappointed in Lauren last night.
She has incredible talent and a real voice...
Man, I can remember her outsinging her partners on duets by FAR.
But that simple canned and uninspired 'country-crap' that she performed last night... :confused3

I felt the same way about David Cook.
Man, has he ever lost his 'edge'.
He looked and performed like any other smutz from Peoria....
( "yep, just got a mortgage on a house, and two dogs..... )
WOW.

Bolded, you understand that some of us thought Angie was just as good as the other girls in fact she might have been better.

And, that is a valid opinion!!!!

It is what one does with their opinions and how they handle it.....
In this case, other opinions prevailed.

I think it would be great to say that you like a certain type of music (or person) over another, everyone has their favorites, but technically, Kree and Candice are lightyears ahead of Angie in depth, experience and vocal maturity.

I believe it's valid to say you prefer Nicki Minaj over Mariah Carey based on your preferences. But when it comes down to who can really SANG, the answer would be different. Heck, some people prefer Gwen Stefani over Barbra Streisand.

....okay, sooooooo, I've hushed up but now I will speak my piece. I was very sad that Angie is not in the finals. I picked her and Candice to be the last two standing and I LOVE Angie.....it's moot point, though since she isn't a finalist, but I do hope that Candice wins; never cared [STILL don't] for Kree, and I'm not jumping on the Kreedom train any time some....let the flaming begin...

Kimmar you are entitled to your opinion!! Everyone is! Heck how many times have I liked someone NO ONE ELSE did???? :lmao: OR HATED someone everyone else LOVED? :scared:

I really didn't care for Kree at first until I got hit by her personal image consultant, the sweet MANDY :goodvibes. She had me check her out on YouTube and told me her story. Little by little she grew on me and now I'm a fan. I try to listen to people (I watch the show with my back to it, sort of like the Voice) and I like hearing a "bottom" to a tone. She has that! Amber's voice went thru me like a knife, my ears couldn't take her pitchiness. Angie's voice is pleasant but for some reason, doesn't touch me.

My son and I were trying to figure it out this morning. He told me he just couldn't relate to Angie, she just seems like someone who has never experienced anything. We're survivors and we like survivors. People who just turn on the charm like a battery tend to annoy me.

Everyone's experience and preferences are PERSONAL. You have yours and God knows I have mine. Heck, like the PP I skipped the finales of Lee DeWyze AND Scotty McCreery because I couldn't stomach them. I skipped it last year because of Jessica Sanchez. The finale is not a requirement, it's a tv show that you choose to look at or not. The PP has the right to skip it, heck you cannot get those hours back!

I still love you Kimmar!!

I found that strange about Kree's house too - it should have been condemned and I'm surprised they were allowed to go inside there.

I liked her entire look, even though it made her look like a typical Georgia soccer Mom

Hahahahaha!!!!!!
OOMG!!!!!!
Like I had also said about David Cook....

WOW - typical everyday smutz from Peoria (or Georgia or wherever....)

And this can be said about her at the age of 18!!!!!!!!! :faint:

Seriously she looked like a woman in her late 30s. Nice, but way too mature for her age.

How she went from this:

Must be the Carrie/Kelly/JHud diet Marketing plan!

This is my thing with Angie, she doesn't connect with me with song or emotionally. You don't have to do big theatrics with the eyes and hands to be a good singer. She truly reminds me of someone on Broadway. She needs to work on her vocals because she isn't in the same league as Candice and Kree. Sure she might be a good songwriter but you got to have more sometimes in this industry, especially if she wants to pursue something other then pop. There's just something about her that doesn't come off well with me and I just can't 100% pinpoint it.

::yes:: You took the words right out of my mouth.

This has been debated ad nauseum on FB but notice 1:43 on this youtube tape, LOTS of people say she was too :D when Amber left:
