Alright, I know there was already a conversation going about transportation in London from the airport to their hotel, but now I need advice. We are staying at Premier Inn Waterloo (Westminster Bridge) so we will only be 5 minute walk from the Waterloo station. We are taking the Eurostar from Paris and will first need transportation from St. Pancras to our hotel. I had planned on just taking the tube. Is this not a good idea? Is it King's Cross St. Pancras taking the Northern line to Waterloo Station? We will each have one piece of luggage and my hubby will also have a carry on. When we leave a couple of days later, we were going to take the tube (Northern to Piccadilly transferring at Leicester Square) to Heathrow. So I guess my questions are- Is this a bad idea and does it make sense (as far as stations and lines)? I have never used mass transportation before but I spent HOURS online over the weekend learning about the metro and RER for our Paris portion. Everyone says once you get the hang of it, it's great, and I'm completely confident it will be. However, learning about transportation I've never used, in a country I've never been to, in a language I can't read, using currency I'm not familiar with...well...it took a while. I don't think the tube will be as difficult because not only will it be in English, we will have already tackled Paris and used the metro there. So any advice would be appreciated!
