California Grill reservations ?

Has anyone read when they are going to start taking reservations for California Grill. We are planning our next trip for the third week of September. Thanks Ron.

Funny, I just came here to post the same question. I noticed you can check for reservations for CG online but it says there are no tables available for pretty much any date I checked. Certainly Nov. 2013 isn't completely booked already.

FWIW, the reservation system seems to be a little flaky. I had the same experience with BOG. Couldn't find a table open and I checked a dozen random dates over the next 180 days. I guess its possible they are booked..?

No reservations for California Grill are open yet, and the restaurant still doesn't have an official reopening date. They won't take any reservations for any date for awhile. You can find a watch thread for California Grill on the Reservations sub board.

As for BOG, that's probably booked up.

Yep, BOG will be fully booked - we just got a reservation in November using the +10 days after our arrival.

We've eaten there once and we were not that impressed. I'm also waiting on the new and improved CG to open dates, I hope it's better.

Wow, I was just picking random days and nothing was avail. Usually you can find something. We were there the week after FL opened last year and didn't even see it. It was crazy crowded.

How does the 10+ days thing work? We already have a room booked and today should be 190 days out for us if I counted correctly, but the online reservation checker doesn't let me pick more than 180 days out. Do you have to call?

it's not 190 days from your first day. It's 180 days from your first day, and you can reserve for up to 10 days after that, instead of reserving each day separately.

Watching the CG thread, haven't made it there yet although we usually book it and then cancel for something else we want more. I know a few people who book several nights there in a single trip and always rave about it.

I go to the lounge whenever I can for flatbreads and sushi. Looking forward to trying the new stuff and hope the lounge and bar survive the refurb.

Once you get to the 180 day point, you have to link your resort reservation so that it knows to allow you to book dining for the next 10 days.

I just called Disney world 3 times to see if they were taking reservations for the California Grill in October or November and all 3 times I was told NO THEY ARE NOT TAKING THEM AS OF YET. So I do not know why people are saying they are getting them because they are not.

I check everyday for that same week and nothing at all yet... According to the Disney Food Blog any day they should start taking reservations but who knows if its actually going to happen

I was just at BLT and was talking to CMs at CR during my stay. The original reopening date was the last week in July, they're now targeting the third week in August and will hopefully begin to take ADRs once they are 30 days out from the newly firm reopening date. Who knows if the CR front desk manager has any insight into restaurant construction projects, but I'm just passing along what he told me.

They have started taking reservations for dates of November 18, 2013 and beyond...
