I am glad that so many were able to get in on this deal...I got 18 cards myself. I also got some Amazon and Southwest Airlines cards. I will definitely post whenever I find this promotion live again.

Nice job. Is the Chase card you are referring to the Chase Freedom card, that had 5% off groceries from April-June? Even if you have one (Disney Premier Visa 3 month promo?) that has 5% off groceries for July, it likely has a limit (usually $1500, less than you each spent). A limit that most people reach without this type of purchase. For me, the groceries promotion is the only one I ever reach the $1500 max without trying. So when calculating my savings, it was just the $15 off + the standard 1% off all purchases.

That was the awesome thing about the 5% on the 3-month upgrade promo for the Disney Premier, no cap! So I was able to get the full 5% back as well as the $15 off each $100. It was a phenomenal deal. I wish I could have had bought up for Disney trips for the next 5 years. Alas. Funding did not allow! Nor did my Visa credit limit!

That is great. I will be upgrading to the Premier Disney Visa once I get under the 90 mark from the end of my DLR trip. Can't wait. I hope HEB brings back one of these gift card deals sometime between November 1st and January 15th.

Waiting til end of Sept (for Oct-Dec this year) to upgrade is a great idea because neither Chase Freedom nor Discover card are offering 5% bonus on gas, dining OR groceries (none of those categories!) for the whole last quarter of the year! It would be a great time to upgrade for those who haven't already. I would've waited, but between all my Disney trips this summer and one coming up this fall, I did pretty well on bonuses by upgrading at the end of May. I think I may go into HEB and buy some HEB gift cards to pay for gas and grocery purchases in Oct-Dec, on my Disney Visa, once my limit resets in mid August and before my promo is over. That way I will get the 5% when pickins are slim at the end of the year! As for the $15 off deal (not applicable on HEB gift cards)...someone said they called in San Antonio and heard it would be in that region around the holidays. So maybe if it doesn't show up in RR, you can head south.

I had the same problem on one of mine but customer service was no help. They told me to call in the morning. But the rest worked fine. I went through and got at the back of the line after each one.

Hey, did you ever get your coupon back? Also, how did you keep going without the $15 coupon to use on the next card? That was my problem. Not having the coupon print out put a stop to my entire purchasing cascade since I couldn't use it on the next one.

I spoke to the manager that night and they gave me the name of someone to talk to the next day. It took a couple of calls but we got it worked out and I got the coupon.

And I basically just started over and payed $100 for that next one. From then on it worked out fine.

Getting a little T'Od! The target special was for cities around SA and now the HEB special is for cities around SA. Super BOO... tried two other HEB's with no success. They don't even carry 100 dollar disney cards.

I was pretty bummed by this too. When that Target special came out a couple of months ago, I ran out to the Forum so I could stock up for our trip to DL.
Lo and behold, that store didn't have the special.
Guess I will just have to keep an eye out, hopefully they will have something around the holidays.

ETA: Cascading was verified to work. The first Disney Gift Card cost you $100 and gave you a gift card coupon, but each successive one would only cost you $85 + a gift card coupon, and would print you off another gift card coupon. So at the end, you would walk out with all these gift cards plus one $15 H-E-B gift card coupon that would expire in two weeks.

I've seen a report of this "Mother's Day" deal coming back for 2013 starting Wednesday, May 8th. 15% off Disney is nice, and you can walk out with $100 Disney Gift Cards instead of $50 cards like Target, where discounts are 5% all the time and up to 24% for two weekends each December. That can come in handy when purchasing tickets over the phone or online where you have limits on how many gift cards you can use.

I've never had a problem taking 4 Disney Gift Cards to a register and telling the employee to do them one at time at $100 a piece. And then use each coupon on the next transaction. If you want to buy more than 4, IMO, the courteous thing to do would be to go to the customer service desk.

Well, HEB has had numerous deals in the past. The best was a December 2010 deal that was Buy a $15 Disney Gift Card, get a $5 HEB Gift Card. One third off Disney was incredible. And that was back in the day when Disney would consolidate gift cards for you by calling the number on the back of the card during normal business hours. But most deals have been in the 15-20% off Disney range.
