Free Dining 2013

Not a fan of the new Disney site. I can't see any of my package details. (We're doing waterpark+ and hoppers). I want to see dining listed (added it this am)! End rant

Ok so we talked it over and it looks like ASMO just might be the best option for us. Now as far as rooms go we have picked out (according to the map) which room will more than likely work best for us. My question now is do I call tonight and switch my ressie to ASMO from LM to get the room I want and then call back on Thursday and add the dining or do I wait?

Hi everyone!! I have a question for you since my DH has not one bit of interest in obsessing over WDW trip plans with me.
Ok, we are coming 10/20-10/25, DH, me, DS13,DS11,DD7. Staying offsite first night. This will be our 2nd trip to WDW but 1st trip staying on property. I have AoA Nemo booked. Want to do regular DP. Obviously hoping for FD but know they wont release that until July/Aug if we are lucky.
Finally, my question....sorry...longwinded here.....Looking at the numbers it looks like we could save $700 staying at POR or $200 at ASmusic. Is staying at AoA silly if I could save that much?
One reason I want a suite is because we travel alot for our DSs soccer and lacrosse and cram into those regular rooms and it is not pleasant.

Never having stayed on property I am not sure what to expect?!?

Well I just got online and purchased two Halloween Party tickets. Did you guys realize the second party is Friday the 13th. So the Studios will have villains and then a Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom that night...sounds like a great way to spend the last day of our trip!!!

For me it comes down to having that second bathroom ;-). So I like the idea of 2 rooms. You could get 2 connecting rooms at Pop or All Star Movies and probably save around $600 vs staying in one of the AoA suites. To me $600 is a nice chunk of change. The AoA resort is themed beautifully and the rooms and suites are super cute, but not cute enough for me to pass up a $600 discount ;-)

That's just my take and personal preference

I know, I heard about the villains thing, that's awesome. I so would have done that... and we usually go to the first week of MNSSP.

But, we have a budding chef among us... my son is taking high school culinary classes & plans to go to culinary school (in Orlando, mind you, hoping he gets an internship at Disney or US); we moved it a little later to catch the first weekend of the F&WF, then I heard about the villains! I'm such a villain fan.

I am happy for you all that got what you wanted for FD and hang in there for those of you waiting till later this week for you FD! It is interesting reading about everyone's experiences today and a learning experience for me for next year as that is when me, DH, and DD will be going. We are looking at going Aug 30th-Sep 7th. Reading other's posts I know I will have to split res for FD. We will be celebrating DD 16th birthday and our 20th wedding anniversary. We are going also for Joy of Night at MK.

We plan that Disney vacation to congratulate him for all his effort (orthophonist every week since 2 years because he have a spoken langage handicap) Really hope to get the FD in that buzz area to make him happy and make him meet all the Disney caracter on dinner!

Prepare for tears when you are there, your tears as a mom. I still get choked up and teary eyed every time I experience Disney through my kids' eyes.

Disney movies have a very special place in my heart because I use them to push my son to use words to explain me what happen.. best time I have to seat down with him and explain and let him explain all he understand of the movie! In that case, I'll be nice and I won't come in here saying things like "everything is sold out" or "they cancelled the free dining promo"...nothing like that.

Perhaps more people would like something like "free dining for everyone no matter what dates you're going"....uhh yeah, that's it.
