2013 Adventures, Boarded the Cruise Ship!

 the last night! We're doing a 4-nighter in July, and I almost feel like it'll be over before it's started. Oh well, we'll just have to cram in all the fun we can.
Love that they sang "Brandy." That must have been fun!

David sang that to me at our wedding reception....

It was lots of fun, watching them sing along...

4 nights huh, you will have to cram all the fun in, I know you can do it.

Wow! I can't believe it all went by so fast! The last two dinners, look like the best of the cruise.

I hate the part about putting the luggage out of the stateroom too. :(

Oh well I guess we have the TA to look forward to now.

Nice looking gym and food porn. It also seems to be a non-sequitur to have those two put together; but it works for me!

Love the look of the frittata.

Last night? Seems like a short trip. :confused3

Yes, the TA.... I am so looking forward to that, and now I get to really plan on what we are doing... Excited :hyper:

Well a 12 night cruise is not a short trip, but it did seem to fly by on this one. The next one is only 3 days longer...

March 09, 2013

This morning is David’s Birthday and the very last day of the cruise.

We did not get up and work out… We got up, got the last of our things packed and put together, and left the cabin to meet up for breakfast.

After breakfast, we went back to the cabin to gather all of our things and meet back up in our Diamond area for a private disembarkation lounge area. We were only there maybe 10 minutes before our number was called, so we walked off the ship with little problem, went through immigration at the port, it was chilly here in Baltimore, after being so warm in the Caribbean.

We called our son, and he was already on his way to get us, we found our luggage and when we stepped out of the port area there, the son was waiting for us.

We loaded up everything and took off for home. 25 minutes later here we arrived at the house.

Within an hour, we were unpacked and laundry was started. This is a cruise wrapped up and put away for now. We had a great time and enjoyed all the people and just the relaxing get away.

You can't beat being home so quickly!

What a nice trip. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us :)

Thanks, and I love it that I am home in minutes!!!!!

Now for the big one... I am so excited about Spain, It will be up there with the Russia trip a few years ago...

I almost didn't recognize your TR with such a drastic name change! :lmao:

The trip to Spain should be awesome. I'm lazy and don't want to go back. What are the dates again?

You noticed the name change.

The cruise is 11/25 to 12/9. But we will be arriving before hand.... :)

Thanks for sharing this adventure; looking forward to your next one!

Nice way to finish off a cruise - picked up by your son. :thumbsup2

I'm definitely sticking around for Spain. It's on both DH and my list to do. In fact, if it weren't for the DisMeet this year, it would have been on our travel plans for this year.

This will be my second time Barcelona, and I love that city! When we were there the last time, I told David that if I lived anywhere outside the US, that I could see myself in Spain.

So after a winter full of dusting's, and day's of hype, we finally got more than a dust of snow.

Bad part was I was not wanting this, I had just returned from the Islands, I wanted sun and fun, and relaxing.

Instead this is what I got.....

As far as posting things, since this is my "Blog" and I can put anything out here... I guess I will.....

So for Easter weekend, we headed down to Virginia. David's Mom and Step Dad were coming for a visit. Monty's (Step Dad) family lives near by and he was coming because his Great Grand Daughter was turning 4, and David's Mom was coming her two sisters, and one BIL live in the area, and we are driving down, so we can all be together.

The first night it is late when we get in, so we pretty much have dinner and do a little shopping for the Birthday Girl...

The next day is the Birthday Party, and then a DIS meet, with Elin (PNO4TE). We are meeting Elin in Fredericksburg, VA to eat at a place called Kybecca Wine Bar.

On the way to met up, we found an old Masonic Cemetery.

The land for the Masonic Cemetery was donated to the local Lodge in 1784 by James Somerville, a Scottish merchant and early mayor of Fredericksburg. Many well-known people are buried here . Among them are Lewis Littlepage who was a distinguished scholar, diplomat and soldier.

Then we found an auction block, Someone wrote " While not much to look at, just a small stone step and a plaque, the reason to view is because it smacks you in the face and gives you a reality check that things like that existed in the generations before ours."

Kybecca, our restaurant for the evening.

Here is Elin....

Manhattan and Bourbon neat

I had the Chorizo Shrimp and Grits

David had the fish with Broccoli Rabe

Elin had the Lobster Spring Rolls

and Shrimp & Pork Cigars

For Dessert

Elin had the Smores

Coconut Stout Tiramisu for me

I had the Belle De Brillat Pear Brandy

Elin had the Graham's 10 year Tawny Port
