Easter 2014 Worried about Bus Crowds

We are planning a trip to Disney for the week immediately following Easter at the Beach Club. I know it will be crowded, but we are early risers and hope to get to parks early.

During really busy times, is there ever a direct bus from BC to MK? If we give ourselves 45 minutes, should we be good to make rope drop in the morning at MK?

Lastly, I have heard a cab from BC cannot drop off at the MK- only the TTC. Is this true?

Thanks!

I assume by week immediately following Easter you mean the week that actually starts on Easter Sunday. The usual MK bus stops only at YC and BC (two stops). Sometimes in less busy times of day, that route may be joined with BW and Swan and Dolphin, but that is not likely to occur during that Easter week. 45 minutes should be more than enough time to make rope drop. I believe the cab goes only as far as TTC including because I do not recall ever seeing a cab where the MK buses pick up and leave off resort guests. Be aware that often during that week they just open the parks early to everyone and not just resort guests.

The BC bus almost always shares with the YC. I haven't been on a BC bus that didn't share, so I would guess that unless the bus is full before getting to the BC, you'll most likely share.

Correct, if you ask the cab to take you to the MK, the driver will go to the TTC. Taxis are not allowed into the MK bus loop. You can ask to be taken to the Contemporary Resort and then walk to the MK from there. That's probably faster than taking the monrail or ferry from the TTC.

We were there the week just before Easter and MK opened early every day - EMH started at 7, and then regular opening at 8. They had some late nights too for EMH - talking about burning the candle at both ends!

We've stayed at BC many times over many years and during all four seasons. In our experience, the bus from BC to MK takes 15 minutes direct to MK (without the BWI stop) and 18 minutes with the BWI stop. It only stops at BWI when the bus is relatively empty. Most of the time we go straight to MK from BC.

We always aim to get to the bus stop about an hour before opening, and actually end up getting there about 45 minutes before opening. Funny thing is the only time we've missed an opening at MK is when we stayed at CR, and the monorail delays caused us to miss it! Never missed an MK opening staying at an Epcot area resort!

As for bus crowds, around Easter MK often opens at 7am for EMH. We try to get out to the bus stop shortly after 6am. It's dark and we're among the very few out at the stop. It's about as uncrowded as you can get. When we're ready for a break after our lunch ADR, the bus is similarly uncrowded - most people seem to be heading into the park as we're leaving. Now, I'm not sure about the evening or late in the day - we're back in Epcot by then. Easter week at WDW is great for the early bird!
