Good morning gents!

So glad I found the DIS Boards, and last night, this forum. Just made our first trip as immediate family: DW, DD9 & DS7. Previous trips were with other family. It was within a few hours that I realized we were "one of those families". Had a blast & can't wait for our next trip!

I was very glad to see that I'm not the only Disney obsessed dad out there. I just won a Disney polo on an eBay auction that I will wear with pride on a golf trip in a couple of weeks. It just sucks it's not going to be at Disney! Need to plan to do that sometime.

Looking forward to getting to know you guys a bit more, this forum is great!

Welcome aboard!

Sounds like a great plan to me.
I too will be at WDW on Fathers Day; as a matter of fact I think that Scott and Zerf will also be down there as well in that time frame. I need to holler at them in the near and see if we can’t put together a meet or two. We’ll be arriving on the 15th and staying at POR through the 22nd. Hope to catch up with y’all at some point.

And we’d expect no less…
:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

:welcome:
We’re glad to have you sir. As mentioned, Randall will get you a number assigned in the near and Norm will be looking for the dues (payable in Dole Whips and bacon).

Being as Norm also lives in central KY, you can probably get them to him without having to send them to his cursed mailbox.

You’ve got a little time yet.
Just not near as much as the calendar would lead one to believe.

I was going to Kroger tonight. I'll pick up an extra pack of bacon for Norm!

Reserved for later profound thoughts.
Did you have any yet? I'm still working on mine...

Had a busy Saturday working on the farm. DW had to go somewhere, so she left DS with me. She dropped him off at the field a little before noon and we were in the tractor until 10:45 pm. He did awesome for riding in a tractor that long. He got bored once in a while and started climbing around and apparently monitoring the gauges, but I think he enjoyed it. He has ridden with me several times before, but usually no more than 3 or 4 hours.

Nice! :thumbsup2

We'll be in WDW 6/16-6/19 so I think I will get to spend Father's Day at the Magic Kingdom!!
WIN!

I put in a 15 hour day... the seat isn't bad at all. The only bad thing is that there isn't a second seat in that tractor, but there is enough room to put DS' folding chair next to my seat. Only problem is that I can't use my armrest while he's there, so the left shoulder was getting a little tired.
I'm guessing DS's head is just about the right height, though. :rolleyes1

SH had a Spring Carnival on the green yesterday. One of the vendors was a paint ball range. She enjoyed working out her recent frustrations with some of her classmates.
Wouldn't that be "working out her recent frustrations ON some of her classmates."?

Welcome to the club!

Afternoon guys.

started the week with meetings but now they are done for a couple of days so I'm checking out the new thread.

Youth sport coaches are on my agenda almost everyday. You have to commend them for volunteering their time but get some education and remember you are not playing for the world championship.

Happy birthday James and welcome to the new guy!

It is, but he's 3 years old. It didn't exactly stay in one place for very long at a time. :lmao::rotfl2:

Happy Birthday BASEBALLMICKEY!!!
Happy Birthday.
When we parked it for the night, he was asleep on the floor. I picked him up and when he woke up, I don't think he wanted to go home.

Sounds like some great father son time.
Thanks.

That stinks! We usually have a late period after sign ups end so everyone can play. We just charge a late fee for those that miss the cut off. T-ball was always fun to watch. Is there someone you can call to get them in?
I called. They are full. Its just four year old T-Ball so not a super big deal. I'm just agitated that the brochure showed up the day the registration closed. Also, I found out the inlaws got their brochure weeks before we did. I'll know for next year to go online in March and take care of it.

Well, made it into new thread in single digits at least.

Looks like at least the RO discount will happen for our trip. Won't save us as much as the FD would have, but we'll take at least something. DW and I are considering taking a personal day Thursday to get things booked

The way theme park tickets are going, I think we are shying away from Seaworld now, it'll be between $300-400 for what will amount to half a day or so? Might just take the day to relax, and hit DTD instead. Kids would love another pool day too....

Hey CJ. I thought I'd move this over here as it may have gotten lost in the race on the last thread.

Also, I know that Zerf and Todd are also going to overlap our visit, if there are any other people looking to meet up, let me know and we'll see if there is a good overlap point on our plans.

Our Plans (As of Now)

AKL Kidani

5-20
Check-in Relax

5-21
Non Park Day.
Downtown Disney maybe, pool is a definite.

5-22
AM DHS ADR: Brown Derby 1:20
PM Unknown

5-23
AM Unknown
PM EPCOT ADR: Chefs de France 7:20

5-24
AM MK ADR: Plaza Restaurant 11:05
Afternoon rest stop
PM MK (more like early AM the next day if we can get in)

5-25
Non Park Day

5-26
ADR: Kona 9:40 am
Leave

What...who....CJ is heading to the World?:headache::mad: Just had to go before I can didn't you? Bad nemie!

Does the above bring a tear to your eye?

Did you see a rumor or info that the RO discount will be offered to the public? Did you get a PIN? I am thinking we may go with a different hotel if its a room discount. Maybe a MK view at CR. Hopefully we'll know before ticket prices go up. If no FD, most likely will skip the package and cut down on the sit down ressies. May as well make the most of it. Looks like it will be a couple years before the next trip.

We already have DC at SeaWorld booked. I have a friend at Budwieser that helped us out with that one. I figured DC was basically a pool day other than the dolphin swim which is about an hour from what I heard.

Are you sure it was frustrations with classmates and not family?

I'm thinking the 22nd might be a good meet-up in the afternoon / evening. I'm assuming that the dark side won't keep our interest past 4pm or so and then we'll most likely head back to the sunny side of town somewhere.

But what if the temps are only in the 70's? Do you have alternate, cold weather plan?
:lmao:

Ummmm.... I figured with the heated pools he'll be fine. So long as the parka is sitting pool side for when he comes out. :lmao:
