DDC XXVIII: Stormin’ The Castle Since 2007!

Morning Guys!! Woke up to a brand new thread, at least I have something to look forward to today. Not enjoying this whole go to work on Monday thing I have going on.

Matt

Second posting of the new thread. But I probably shouldn't count the one I squeezed in on page 1. I'll never see one that early again though so I'll take it. I need something to diffuse the drama around here again. I knew it had been too quiet. Happy Monday Gentlemen!

If we're storming the castle, should I grab my gear??

I mean, I know it's magical and all that, but Prince Charming carries a firearm (albeit poorly) in Storybrooke...love that show:goodvibes

Good Morning Guys. Made it on page 4.

DS lost 3 more baseball games this weekend. We are now 0-17.:headache: The coaches keep favoring the same players. I think it's time to try something new. A lot of parents angry.:furious: I just go with the flow. DS has a .08 ERA in 23 innings:thumbsup2, but doesn't get to be a starting pitcher:confused:. He's the best 1B we have, but he plays 3B part time and he has a .667 batting average and .800 on base percentage:thumbsup2, but sits every other game. The politics and favoritism is really ticking some parents off. I just keep thinking that at 0-17, why not try something different? Can't hurt? Oh, and a good thing we cancelled practice today. With our success they certainly don't need to push them.:lmao:

DD lost soccer game, but was 3-1 this weekend in hoops.

We had a first communion and a funeral mass as well so this weekend was absolutely crazy.

Hope everyone is well. Now I have to keep up on two threads.

‘Morning all…

Still trying to kill off the old thread I see.
The Mods must be asleep at the wheel.
:sad2:

It’s the second week of May and we’ve yet to see a thermometer reading even approach the mid 80’s and no 90’s of any kind.
First, that ain’t right.
Second, I fear we’ll pay dearly for that latter on.
:scared:

On the up side, we’re ahead on the rain for now and that’s actually a good thing.

Cool, Rainy, and Monday.

It's going to be in the mid 80's and mostly sunny at Castaway Cay today. :beach:

Disney Daydreamin...

Supposed to be 70 degrees and mostly sunny up here today. So far it is cloudy, foggy and about 43. Why didn't I choose weather as a major in school. Don't they look out the window prior to the forecast?:headache:

I'm thinking the wave pool at TL would look pretty nice about now.

Gear up!
With this group, any operation could go south at any time.

Or simply end up at Aloha Isle causing no trouble what so ever.
Yah… on second though, that’s the more likely scenario.
:lmao:

Way too much politics…
Dang shame.

May that nonsense get better in the near.

Happy Birthday BASEBALLMICKEY!!!

Good morning!

Had a busy Saturday working on the farm. DW had to go somewhere, so she left DS with me. She dropped him off at the field a little before noon and we were in the tractor until 10:45 pm. He did awesome for riding in a tractor that long. He got bored once in a while and started climbing around and apparently monitoring the gauges, but I think he enjoyed it. He has ridden with me several times before, but usually no more than 3 or 4 hours.

When we parked it for the night, he was asleep on the floor. I picked him up and when he woke up, I don't think he wanted to go home.

We got a lot done Friday and Saturday. I worked up about 250 acres on Saturday, and Dad got 150 planted before he had to quit a little early. We're about half done with corn. My uncle handles the soybean planting and he apparently has been having some problems. I think we've only got about 100 acres or so in the ground, but Dad and I are a little over half done with corn already. We got some rain yesterday and this morning, but once it dries up, I'm planning to take 2 or 3 days off of work to get it done.

I don't really get caught up in it. DS is confident and performs at every opportunity. He has already been seen by the varsity coaches at our high school and will make that team. I do wish he was pitching more, just for the experience. We'll get him pitching somewhere. I coach both my kids in other sports and feel that if a player is good enough to make the team, then they should play equally. A good coach will find a way to win games and play everyone. Anyone can take good players and go win. I'd rather teach and lose with a good group of kids without all of the favoritism crap.

Oh, I vote for Aloha Isle!

I could go on a multi-page rant about decisions made in youth sports, but will use a rare moment of judgement and execute my right to remain silent...:lmao:

Sounds like the next generation of farmers is in good hands. Good luck with getting everything planted and I hope mother nature cooperates.

Thanks. That's what I did on Saturday. One of the mom's was trying to rally the parents into a united front to go to the coaches. I quietly expressed that when and if I have an issue I will discuss it with them privately. I don't think she likes me now.:confused3 Go figure.

Happy Birthday BASEBALLMICKEY!!!

And a happy birthday to a fellow member of the supremely stubborn.

And a thanks to Brian for keeping an eye on these.
Most of the rest of us tend to be a just might lazy about checking up on page-1.

That sir is one very fine photo.
Very fine indeed.

And a decent start on the season.
May that continue in the right direction as well.

Oh, I vote for Aloha Isle!

And I think I’d rather have you doin’ the coaching given a choice.

Oh, and I second the Aloha Isle choice.
The rest of y’all can storm the castle, in about a month I’ll be over in Adventureland dosing a Citrus Swirl (or twelve) with liberal amounts of rum.

Your silence tends to speak volumes.
