I can book my seats now :-) there are 3 of us travelling and we can book the bubble, where is the best place to sit in the bubble??? We will be on the Boeing 747-400 any info would be a great help! Excited!!

There are only a few rows up there so I would say any, we had family up there last year as we need four seats but went to visit them and all seemed good

The first rows are exit seats

Row 79 A B &C are good as are 80 D E and F :0) although not so on the way home as the cabin crew chatted the whole journey home when we last flew in PE ....... We've got 7 seats in rows 78 and 79 next trip

Who gets of first upstairs in the economy part the people sitting at the front or back? We want to get through immigration ASAP lol

I don't think it will make much of a difference in this instance as there aren't that many rows in economy in the bubble.:) Mind you not sure when they let economy bubble people off, I sort of assume it would be after PE bubble people, so hopefully you will be first or there abouts of the economy passengers:goodvibes

The biggest issue is whether they hold downstairs E back after PE & Upper get off as not all crews do and our last 747 flight they didn't meaning the bubble were some of the last off.

I believe E will be off before PE upstairs as they are at the back.

We flew back 23rd april had row 79 ABC and these were great seats. Had ample recline . We were off before PE upstairs but after PE downstairs and economy were held back on this occasion.

Never mind, I was told I could book them this morning from 11:15am after a phone call to virgin yesterday turns out they have me the wrong information and I could have booked from 9am, needles to say the seats upstairs have all gone and I'm grumpy! Damn you virgin Atlantic!

My question now is, where to sit downstairs, our main things we want are, to be off the plan ASAP, so where gets un boarded first I.e which side ABC or HJK, and if we sit near the front of economy downstairs does that mean we eat last or first? I like a choice of meals rather than what ever is left lol!

I think you're right its very much dependent on cabin crew. My friends were economony bubble people and they held them back until PE bubble were out first. So who knows:confused3

We are PE this time and there is no way I will book the bubble for various reasons and the uncertainty of not getting off quick is one of them. We are def going into the other PE cabin this time.

As for downstairs economy. We always go for the 2 seats at the back of the 747 and just hope that immigration is not that awful when we EVENTUALLY get off. (normally its ok, we have never really been very long getting through). As for the food service, it does normally, at least it always has for us, started at the back of each cabin. :)

No disrespects but what is the big rush about getting off first? No side gets off any quicker than the other as it depends on cabin crew. If u want. Choice of meals sit as near to the front as possible. We sat at the back going out and had aubergine bake!!! Thats all that was left. They serve from the front to back now for some stupid reason.

Getting off quick into MCO means we are through and on our way quicker. Coming home its not quite as important as LGW is usually hell but I would still rather be in front of a good portion of the 350 passengers that a 747 dumps into immigration ;)

To the OP - just sit as far forward as possible. Generally both side filter out together but it depends on the people in front of you being ready and not blocking the aisle! :rotfl:

Fair enough Tracey and if in PE I Understand. Just annoys me when as soon as the seatbelt signs are off people are up grabbing bags. I suppose Im laid back and just take things as they come. Someone dropped their bag on my head last time trying to rush. He was last but one from the back

Was going to say the same I've waited so long at immigration in Orlando well over an hour and a half! So this time I aim to beat that wait even an hour wouldn't be so bad! End of the day there is nothing worse than that long flight then having to wait forever once your off the plane, like you said when you get their you just want your holiday to begin, not to add I've got problems with my back and legs so the flight causes me enough pain without then standing pretty much still at immigration, it'll just cause me to cease up and then out comes the morphine which I hate taking on holiday!

Thanks for the advice though! we have seats 26 ABC so we are the one behind the exit row seats hopefully this will mean we get off with not too many people in front :-)
