Values from $85 a night? Really? When?

I have spent all day plugging in dates to try to find ANY night for $85 at the values. It is advertised, after all. Yes, I know it will be a**sports, but I figure those dates would be cheaper at POP too. Nothing came up at less than $100 for 1 person midweek. Guess room rates stay higher now to offset FD, but since we can travel anytime, I would like the cheapest deal. Anyone done the homework and had better luck than me?

Thanks. The prices are listed less than on the Disney website, but that's a handy planning guide.

I know! That 85.00 irks me along with moderates that are no where near what they say :(((

not sure but something seems to be wrong with Disney online reservation system.

it has values at $110 instead of $90 -

but the big one tickets - 4 day pass (no options) is $771 for one person....

something is wrong.

My parents just got 85.00 a night but that was with a 25 percent off BB offer for later this summer. I thnk the 85.00 rates where from earlier this year.

I got a rate of $87 at Music for later this month, but I booked it months ago.

Last October I got ASMu for about $92 through Fall Room only rates. During non peak Sales it is very likely that values will drop but you can't see them until about a month before.

Also the lowest rates are going to only be for weekdays. Not Fridays or Saturdays.

Make sure you specifically click on the Summer Savings offer..it's the 2nd page advertisement on the Disney website. If you just click on make reservations from the main page, it will not include discounts. This same thing happened to me. I just tried again putting in my dates (Aug 5-11) and there are standard rooms available at $76.50 per night at All-Star Music for Monday-Thursday and then $93.50 for Friday and Saturday night.

I hope this helps.

Scratches head...On the site right now in another window

Base ticket for 4 days is $64/day. If you add WP&More it is $79 per ticket (per day) and even with that it comes to $572 (w/o tax) for 4 days...so yeah...something is wrong:teacher:

I don't understand what dates or options you put in.
I have 9/01/13-9/06/13. 5 weekdays nights at All Star Sports and it has $101.70 per night, which is the $90.00 plus 13% tax.
The new Disney site shows the tax included rate. When you click View Price Per Night it shows the without tax rate per night.

I'm paying $52 a night for a standard room at POP next week but that is using a cast member discount. Those are the best prices out there!! Try and make friends with a cast member and then have them book your next room for you! :rotfl2:

Marblies, you imply you know Pop is more than AllStars. Do you realize how much more? This chart shows the correct rate per night per hotel, per room catagory.
The new Disney booking site shows rate with tax, and averages all the nights you have plugged in over the stay. So Fri & Sat are more. If you put in a 7 day stay, it adds all the nights & diveds by 7 to give you the Avg/Night rate. Click View Price Per Night underneath that, and it will display the actual price each individual night is before tax. That is where you will see the true price to compare to these charts.
On the other hand, many people want & prefer the with tax rate, as that is the bottom line---what you pay to stay, so that may be why Disney went to that. I know I like it much better when shopping for flights that it is now law to show the total price.

As spiceycat stated: Aug 4-Sept 14 is $90 for All Stars standard rooms sun-thu.

By jove, that's the ticket! Do you think they have any job openings for a 48 year old princess? :rotfl2:

Thank you all for your input. I do choose to travel with FD and lower crowds, but my curiosity was getting the better of me. I do remember paying less in the past, but oh well, I shall get my Disney fix one way or another!
