I'm so sorry to hear you're fired. I know you loved the dogs.
I will read your writing when I got back from my work.

Thanks! Not looking forward to job hunting, but we do what we have to do. Hope you like the blog!

Loved reading about your pack ( hubby included ). Had a hard job voting for our favourite but the ears won out in the end. Neville was a close runner up.

Look forward to the next instalment and meeting up with you both next year.

Hope you get another job soon....have to pay for that cruise you know!

You must know a bit about dog grooming...can you take a course and open up a little home business? Good luck anyway.

Tried grooming - hated it. I'm working on getting my sewing room back in order enough to make some dog clothes. I've been playing with some ideas that might just sell okay some place like etsy. And one way or the other, we will be on that cruise!

I voted for Peabody - with those big ears he reminds me of my oldest son!

Peabody thanks you and Sue for your votes!

Thanks for sharing Pat. Neville got my vote! Although they are all adorable!

Neville thanks you, Annemarie. Of course, he thinks he's the cutest.

Love your blog ..... I couldn't vote though ..... they are all as cute as each other ::yes::::yes::

Its crazy that you lost your job :furious::furious: but hopefully a better one will be around the corner ::yes::

Thanks, Sarah! Glad you liked it. Something better will come along - it always does. Their loss, y'know? I just hope it comes along soon.

Pat,

Why don't you come on the EBTA 2013, we will have a scream :rotfl2: Just ask Dennis nicely and I will see you in Galveston on the 18th.:cool1:

pretty please! Call it a brainstorming session with friends;)

500 days!!!

What sounds better - 500 days or 16 and 1/2 months??

Can't wait to see the airfare rates!! I would really love to get it for $600 - which still seems high to me considering it is one way - but is the lowest prices I've seen. My big dilemma will be wait or buy??

Tomorrow will be better as it'll be in the 400's!

I think 16 1/2 months sounds shorter. Hmm wonder how many weeks it is? Will probably figure it out while I dream tonight and fantasize about our journey on the Magic.

Looking forward to it.

Still have that trip to Alaska next month on the Wonder. If anyone wants pics of anyting, just let me know.

Cruise Critic has yet another article on the changes coming to Magic, here is the link
http://www.cruisecritic.com/news/news.cfm?ID=5331
At the bottom of the article is another link, which doesn't work when I try to post it here, with before and after images of the coming changes, some of the images; StudioSea, the Cabins, and a few other, I haven't seen anywhere else and the before and after is interesting. They quote Lazisero regarding each image so it does seem accurate. Regarding the cabin changes it says "All of the ship's 877 cabins will be refreshed to look more like the modern accommodations found on Disney Dream and Fantasy. The "virtual portholes," circular screens that provide a digital view for inside cabin occupants, won't be coming to Magic. They were cost prohibitive, Lanzisero said."

After seeing the enhancements coming to the Magic with the drydock this year I couldn't not go. Did the 2011 EBTA... now its time to get the flight out of the way first. All booked on DVC points.

Doing three pre-nights in Dublin, then down to Barcelona. Then going to spend some extra time in Puerto Rico.

Do we have a Facebook group yet?

Welcome. :thumbsup2 The facebook group link is in the first post on this thread, along with all the information and things we are planning. :)

Hi! We've been toying with booking this cruise when on the ship in June. But the announcement of the upgrades might mean a price rise so we've booked!! Well, I've booked one of our rooms for DH and our three boys who will be 12, 14 & 16 at the time of sailing. DD needs a HA room and there is only concierge available so we're going to sit and wait. We'll book that in June to get the OBC if we have to.

This looks like a really active group, so just waving hi :wave2: and subbing in. We're preempting the post holiday blues after June! Still busy planning that one, but it feels great to have another in the works for next year!!

Welcome aboard!! I pray one comes available for you! :goodvibes (And that those who are holding them actually have a legitimate need for the accessibility they provide!)

Welcome aboard!! Could you book a regular room to lock in the current rate then change categories later and get at today's prices? I'm always confused about how that works.

SOOOO excited about the changes on the MAGIC!!!!! I showed my boys and my DS 5 literally screamed with excitement when he saw Andy's room and also the Aquadunk and the Twisty slide! My DS 9 keeps saying, "Can we go back on the Magic?" I have not told them about this cruise because I won't be able to know for sure if I'm going until I see the airfares in a few months. Also, I like to wait until we are a little closer so that they don't lose the excitement waiting for 17 months!!

There are HA rooms in all categories aren't there? As mentioned - good idea to book at today's rates. You can always get a refund before the PIF date in non- concierge rooms.

Welcome aboard!

Hello GatoMomInNC

wow, about Magic and I have not told my two teenagers yet... as my work told me that it should be okay for my cruise :thumbsup2 but my son 16 told me that he decide to stay another year at school for higher...:crazy2: but when he finished next year summer times so I don't know what he want whether go to college...

I will tell them after Venice Cruise in July that we are going to Disney as they were talking about Magic Cruise few weeks ago:crazy2: I know they will be delighting about DLC...

:welcome:

I agree with everyone else - book now, even if it's a regular room. I got caught by a massive price increase because I didn't book when this first came out. Then, when you're on your cruise in June, go to the booking desk and ask if you can cancel and re-book right there to get the deposit discount & OBC. If the prices have gone up, you can decide if it's worth it to re-book or stay with what you have. Shouldn't be a problem, since it will be before the PIF date. Can you call DCL and ask about a HA room? Maybe they can upgrade someone who has one booked but doesn't need it to free one up for you. Just a thought.
