Our Active April: W.I.S.H. Exercise Challenge

Great race. Slow and steady, but it went well. :) I also added in some time for walking to the car and back.
Thanks!

Me too. :) Thanks so much! Did it rain in Nashville? Looks like you had a fast race. Congrats!

Rain through out and hail sometimes. It took hours to warm up afterwards. DD said we ran faster because we wanted out of the weather. Lol. Great fun in spite of the rain. The hills weren't any worse than the Mississippi Blues 1/2 in Jackson, MS

There were pictures of that race online, looked very wet!! Congrats on pushing through the rain.

ugh. Mike and I were probably going to skip the race if it rained--we are whimpy! We had 50s and overcast. No rain. I was really cold when we stopped, but at least we weren't wet! Glad you had fun. :)

The KDF half is very, very flat. The tunnels at Churchill Downs and two little hills near U of L and that's it. Every year I hope for a pr and every year I have issues. But all in all, it was the best race I have had in a long time.

Oh boy, I just realized I haven't posted since 4/17! Sorry! But on a good note, I am making sure that new gym membership gets put to good use! So far, I have just been using the treadmill and bike so all exercise is cardio for now.

4/18 to 4/20; 2 more days of 45 minutes each day treadmill only--90 minutes
4/21 60 mins treadmill
4/22 30 on treadmill, 15 on bike. (45 mins)
4/25 60 mins treadmill
4/27 30 treadmill/30 on bike

Total of 315 (since last post on 4/17)
855/1000

Wow, I think will barely make my goal!

How was it?!

Can you say kicked my butt?!:faint: I can barely move, even today, but can't wait to go back.:hyper: Stupid me though, got fried in the sun on Saturday, so now I'm sporting the cooked lobster look. Will have to wait until Friday to try it again, but the DH is going with me this time!

I prefer running on the high school track too, but I make myself run hilly roads once a week (or at least once every other week) for the ankle strength and hill work. It does seem to help my speed when I then run on the flat track or treadmill, an vice versa.

45 min speed workout at the track this morning.
450/500.

I WISH I could get a track workout in. All the schools down here get locked up tight at the end of the school day.

114 min Rock and Roll Marathon. A PR for me. 30 min getting lost walking back to the hotel. :)

:woohoo::yay:After all the issues you've been dealing with lately, this should be a big boost for you both mentally and physically! Great job!

First page updated. Awesome job everyone - check out all the lime green goal achievers - woohoo! Probably won't make mine this month, but as always, y'all inspire me to keep at it.

We need a host for May - if you're thinking about it, then speak up and jump on in.

Got in both a run by myself and a walk with the dog this morning, for 49 min.
New total 809/900. Since I was pretty close to 800 minutes last month, maybe that's about all I can work in at the moment and that will be my May goal as well.

As a group, we've logged over 39,900 minutes this month, for a group average of 70% towards goal. What a fantastic job :cheer2:
