any place to use points in Charleston, SC ?

So my husband and I borrowed points to celebrate our anniversary weekend at the Boardwalk. We just found out that our daughter's best friend is getting married in Charleston that weekend and we would really like to attend. Since the points were borrowed we can't bank them back to next year and our use year ends 2 weeks later. Does anyone know if there is a Charleston hotel that can be booked with points or have any other suggestions ?

Is Disney's HHI DVC resort close enough to be an option? If so, check availability there.

Did you buy direct or resale? If you bought resale, you would have options only within the RCI system. You could check online to see what might work for that - there is a link from the members' website.

What is your use year? Assuming you bought your points direct, if you are less than 4 months from the end of your use year, you would not be able to use points to book anything other than a DVC resort stay or something from the World Passport Collection (RCI or Lake Buena Vista Trading System). That's known as the 4-month rule.

If you are able to use DVC RCI your only options are to stay in HH or Myrtle Beach, SC and drive to Charleston. While RCI has Charleston properties, none of them are available through DVC. You may want to check Groupon Getaways because they regularly have groupons for Charleston hotels.

Hilton Head is a little over an hour drive from Charleston. It would be do-able.

I'd suggest you inquire about a private trade between a bluegreen or equivest member for their respective properties there. When are you looking to go?

From the resort to Charleston it is closer to two hours of driving, but definitely it can be done. Also the resort is wonderful, really worth checking out.

We have stayed at HHI many times and love it. Unfortunately, there is no availability for our dates, August 16-18. Not sure what we will decide to do. Thanks for the suggestions.
