Day one sounds like a great success...safe arrival, pool time and some good food.

you arrived at Universal and without getting lost. I have no idea what that first thing you did was (the one where you picked up the glasses), but I've not been there since 2004.

She hhad the Sleeve about 18months ago and it has worked like a charm!! She does have to take Prilosec for GERD though!! But she looks and feels fabulous !!She said she gained 9# on that trip but I didn't notice she had !!

We then split !! The girls rode this

Which I am pretty sure is Rip Ride Rocket ! They loved it I enjoyed the shops

We continued on around and Kyle of course had to check this out



The next ride was the girls and as I recall Judy too





I took pix , Kyle found the arcade !! I also shopped in the Mummy store





For Mark!!! and Christine see there are more pix of me !! Kyle had found me in the store and obliged his Grammie !!

By now it was lunch time and we had a destination in mind



These guys were playing across the Street from Finnegans

Irish Soda bread Yummy and for sure Steph agreed she ate most of it

Samantha ordered this and was the only one to allow a pix.A steak Salad

I had my eye on this and it was good


Bangers and Mash !!I didn't eat the cabbage but the "Bangers" were authentic , they are not as spicy tasting as American sausage but I enjoyed the nostalgic taste !!!

Yes it does have shops , but you have to park in the Parking Ramp there and that costs $15 or $20 for preferred !!There is a Universal Store and lots of others , loads of great restaurants. NBA City 's bathroom intrigued me as the waste basket is a Basketball hoop!! Nascar is also neat with the cars !There is a BK, Moes and Panda Express tooo Also have mini golf there !! I prefer DTD though,

We headed to Disaster



The show was due to start in 10 minutes and we were soon inside for the preshow !! They started to ask for volunteers and when they said "Is there a Gramma in the house " My hand went up without me moving it Thank you JudyI was led in and seated in the front row ( if you ever want the front row just raise your hand and they give it to you. So enevtually I was up on stage with my straw hat again and raking or howing . Then we went to the subway and waited for the DISASTER


They car shook and swayed and water poured down and Judy screamed "Am I gonna get wet" Then the movie showed and Kyle about bust a gut laughing at his Grandma " Muttha Nature "

We watched the 6 contestants perform stunts





They had people from the audience doing disgusting and scarey things like having critters crawl over their heads and even drinking disgusting concoctions !!

I honestly have NO desire to go again !!

Now this I enjoyed , the show had just started so we missed a bit

Judy had a swarm of birds fly very close to her head !!But all enjoyed this show !!

This next pix if for Leo ,one of the individuals who used to live at my House , he said this all the time



Next up we went to the Monster Make up show !!This is the best of all
The lady volunteer was from China and did not understand English and her daughter was translating from the audience. She was such a good sport





Perfect timing after the show , the afternoon parade

Great pics Rosie. I am looking forward to going to Universal on my next trip. Loved the hat pics. Years ago my youngest DD was chosen for the preshow at Disaster. It looks like there is so much to do I am rethinking my one day 2 parks decision.

Some of your pics were missing when I read the updates. The Bangers and mash sounded really good. Had them at Rose and Crown and really enjoyed them there but I do eat the cabbage.

Disaster must be a renamed Earthquake attraction - it was a subway (or trolley or something like that) and wow, did it ever shake you up! I came off with loads of bruises to show I had been on it for sure!

Yuck for the creepy crawlies or drinking disgusting concoctions. I don't get the fun in that at all.

Monster makeup looks like it was fun!

Getting all caught up! Looks like you were all having a great time! Some of your food looks really good! Don't think I would go anywhere near the Fear Factor attraction for fear I would get picked! When that show used to be on I didn't see it so much as FEAR as I did just plain DISGUSTING!!!

And how nice of you to "volunteer" on the Disaster ride. They made a very logical choice for Muttha Nature!!!

I always enjoy the animal shows!

Yes I love the animal show !! Carol was ready to kill when those birds swooped down Judy was okay about it just startled !!

I will stop here for today !! If you have noticed I planned the touring to END up at WOHP ,in hopes that it would be less crowded there and walk ons the way we went. This seems to be working so far , The Hulk, Dooms Day Falls were both easy lines with little wait times . I think IOA has some really neat sections to take pix in as you have seen a few so far, more to come !!
