Thinking about renting DVC points.

First off we have never rented before so this would be a first for us. Do you think I am too late? Will there be anything left for a family of 4? We aren't set on a particular resort. I was hoping to check some flight schedules early next month and then try to rent.

I would start contacting owners on our Rent/Trade Board ASAP. I think I've read that many resorts are already booked, but you'll likely be able to find some availability at SSR, and maybe OKW or AKV, as they are the largest DVC Resorts at WDW.

If you want to book your flights first, just be aware that you may have to stay in a cash resort, rather than a DVC rental. The holidays are extremely busy times and many, many members book that travel period as soon as it opens at 11 months.

It depends when you want to go and how set you are on particular dates. i would look at flights but not buy until I had the rental secured.
