Trying to do my online check-in this morning. I keep getting an error report. Do the Disney web sites ever work properly. Sheesh!:rolleyes2 Anyone else having this problem this morning?

Are you checking in through "My Disney Experience"? It worked for me.

:earsboy: Bill

Honestly, since they switched over to their "new" site, it's intermittent. Some links work, some don't. Some redirect you to the new site, some redirect you to the old site.

I believe they work every 3rd thursday in July. :rolleyes1

I actually saw a presentation a week ago from a company that is doing some IT work for Disney. They were also attempting to sell their services to our group for the first time. One thing they mentioned was the complexity with all the different areas that Disney is involved with - but it still wasn't enough to convince me about them!

The DVC site redirects me to the My Disney Experience page. Once I bring up my reservation it always comes up error on page. I have yet to get this site to work properly. I may try using another browser.

I've wondered about the website issues for a while.... hoping someone with IT experience could explain why the sites are having such trouble.

It could be the complexity of their inter-related sites. :confused3

Well, I have tried using 3 different browsers. No luck with any of them. It has to be Disney. I just don't understand how a company as big as Disney can't get their IT issues up to speed.:sad2:

Guess I'm just lucky.......Almost never have a problem navigating. Checked in fine thru My Disney Experience perfectly for upcoming trip. I'm on it every other day and things are good (knock on wood) sometimes slow but that's same for every other site I visit .

It's because they are still working on it. It's not done, not by a long shot. It's been since, what, November, now? December? Long, long time.

I would:

clear cookies, cache, and history then
go directly to disneyworld.com and the "experience" pages, rather than linking from DVC

change browsers if it doesn't work.

if it still doesn't work, keep trying.

I wasn't able to do online checkin for our Feb trip on the first try for any of our resorts (except for the one non-DVC resort). Just had to keep trying.

Well I Finally was successful doing my online check in thanks to another poster that suggested going to mydisneyreservation.com. It worked!

Are there still issues with linking reservation for ADRs at the 180 day mark??:confused3

Yes exactly. It's a work in progress, that's why it's intermittent. Every large operation is going to have problems when they have a site overhaul like this.

Personal opinion - all web designers should have to access their sites on Apple devices (no flash), basic desktop machines ( limited RAM), and on hand helps. They make them too complex - entertainment centers - vs informational sources.
