Breaking news for RunDisney fans! Princess Half-Marathon weekend will now feature a 10K. Completing both the 10K & Princess half-marathon will earn you a Glass Slipper Challenge medal and completing both the Princess half-marathon at Walt Disney World and the Tinkerbell half-marathon at DisneyLand Resort will earn you a special coast-to-coast medal with a pink overlay & lanyard!

Registration for the Princess half-marathon begins June 11. Registration for Tinkerbell half-marathon begins June 11 if you are also registering for the Princess half-marathon, otherwise it will start on July 9.

Oh I'm SO tempted, but I think since this is my first half, I need to control myself and plan to do the Glass Slipper Challenge in 2015. I'm bummed to miss the inaugural, and I was telling my husband that it's murder b/c my blog name (Losing the Glass Slippers) seemed to be screaming for me to do it, but I also don't want to push it and then not get to experience my first half in the way I want to!

That's ok, just makes a good excuse to go again the following year!

So pumped for the Glass Slipper Challenge! My sister and I are hoping the 10k will be Saturday morning! We're thinking they'll copy Dumbo and make the 5k and 10k the same morning and the half the next.

I'm thinking I'll have to do the Cinderella in rags (pre-fairy godmother) running costume that I've been thinking about for a while for either the 10k or the Princess Half since the race is the Glass Slipper Challenge.

I have a hard time translating my costume ideas into reality though. Guess I need to learn to sew or to outsource!

isn't there some website that guarantees you a spot? I know AP holders can register prior, but thought I'd seen a website that guaranteed entry?

Oh, I didn't think of doing it that way. Perfect, I love it! I've got brown hair, but I'll make it work! I dyed my hair last year for Ariel but I am NOT doing that again...

Question for you ladies who ran last year ~ are all the resort hotels the host hotels like Marathon Weekend or is it just a few? Also, does anyone remember how much the rooms at Coronado Springs were? When I ran it the 1st year, there were only 3 host hotels and all I found online was that transportation was provided for host hotels which I already knew. Thanks!

They made all the resorts host resorts this year since it is such a huge race. I imagine they'll do the same for 2014 especially with the new race addition :0)

I really want to do the Coast to Coast and Glass Slipper, but I don't know if I can financially or physically! Glad I have a little time to think.

With the announcement of the Glass Slipper challenge I'm even more motivated to sign up for the half marathon. Though nervous, very nervous. The thought of running a 10K doesn't scare me at all though, I guess that's good.
