Last two weeks of August?

So going by what Danny has announced about discounts, are the last two weeks of August just out of luck? Is it still possible that a room discount may come out for that period?

I was also hoping for something for that timeframe. I bet they just extend the current room only deal past Aug 14 right up to Sept 2. That's just my guess.

Maybe they will unleash an flood of PINS for that timeframe?

We can only hope ! Let's see what actually happens. Maybe they will release some discount rooms, or better yet, one of those free upgrades like where you get bumped from a value to a deluxe! That happened to us in 2010. We stayed at Old Key West for the price of a value!!!

We booked Aug 23-Sept 1 for a room discount late last fall, but that was with a PIN. I don't remember if there was anything public announced at this time. Maybe if occupancies look soft they will add something. Everyone hold off booking! Okay, not realistic since we're all anxious to go

I am now impatiently waiting for late August discounts. Arriving 8/17 for 8 nights. I am now in AOA. LM room and see those rooms are now sold out. Thought it was a "slower period ". Hoping to upgrade to a deluxe if the 30% comes out....or free dining. I need one or the other to move. I called today and the CM told me to try again in July. I was like HUH???? JULY??!!

Please o please announce a discount!!!!!!

I was hoping for the same Late august !! Dont know if we will be going with out any discount when we are use to free dining! Maybe they are just waiting til last minute in hopes that everyone books at reg price August is slow but more poplar than Sept with Free Dining . I know here our schools got back around Sept 3rd so for us Sept is out of the question because DS will have to miss school !

We always go end if August and so far, there have always been Late Summer/Early Fall discounts out.

We also booked the FD bounceback last year. We were there beginning August 19 th and booked the bounceback around that date. I really hope they have the bounce back again as we would not stay onsite without free dining. Here's hoping for a bounceback when we are there this year!

We were there last August also but didn't book the Bounceback because we were going in February and were going to skip August but the weather was so cold and both kids got sick we didn't get to do much in those five days ! So we were going to make it up by going in August now I am kicking myself for not booking and cancelling if I didn't use it !!! Lesson learned here it makes me so mad !

However, there are conventions all year long and I checked the web site to book a room that week and every hotel has openings. Perhaps, Disney is rolling out there magical bands in full force the end of August. I dont know, but I do find it strange.

I totally agree that it is definitely strange we have been going this last week of August for FIVE YEARS Now and this year its not included kinda weird . Unless their hoping rooms book up at reg price because all those anticipating free dining but don't get it maybe their theory is they will go anyway ! Im truly lost in the theory behind this !

Ya if Danny and black have announced it, you can rest assure that is the promo. But hopefully Disney has something in store/in mind for the end of August and thus why it's excluded. Or maybe this is truly their way of showing they are cutting FD back, it hasn't been offered as a promo at all in 2013, so this could all be signs of indication for the future of this promo, less dates. Who knows! Hope something comes out for late August folks though! Good luck

Another theory I have is that the DVC season is a "Dream" season at that time. I know alot of DVC members were complaining of not being able to get free dining for thier stays. In my opinion it would be harder to sell me on a DVC membership with all the discounts and free dining available. Just my opinion.

DVC members might be complaining that they can't get ADRs, but FREE Dining is never offered for DVC.
