How to butter bread

That was hilarious!!

I would add

On site or off
Dining plan or no dining plan, value.
Snowflake children ~ something I have only heard here. :rotfl:
Strollers for kids, what age should you give it up.
Family drama
Oh, and my favorite, gifted children.

I can't even remember what that thread was intially about.

I remember very clearly. :)

The OP asked for table manners pet peeves and I replied that my top pet peeve is when people butter an entire slice of bread at once, instead of bite by bite.

Note that it is a pet peeve -- not something on the level of, I don't know, a cash bar at a New York wedding. But people flipped about it. PET PEEVE, PEOPLE. You know, like a minor annoyance? But people went berserk.

And we're off!

ECV's and Wheelchairs-people don't really need them.

Ooh! Ooh! You forgot to include commentary on their weight! Cuz everyone knows that if those darn fat people would just get up and walk they wouldn't have a problem.

jk. That thread blew up.

Yeah, a lot of people jumped all over me for the bread and butter thing, but I thought the cupcake and doughnut stuff was much weirder.

For what it's worth, my husband still butters his bread all at once AND cuts up his entire meal before eating it. And I still haven't said anything about it to him.

Tacky vs. not tacky..

I can't STAND the word tacky. I think the word of choice should be..different. Just because you wouldn't do something doesn't make it tacky. I've been told I am tacky and I find it offensive.

How to butter bread

That was HILARIOUS!!!

17) Whether eating food in a grocery store before paying is stealing
18) When it is/is not okay to leave kids alone in a car

:flower3:

Oh yeah, eating in the store. Classic.

Breastfeeding...

How in the world did I miss the how to butter bread posts... :confused3

I was waiting for someone to mention Breastfeeding. That's a doozie.

It was more about how you eat your buttered bread in public, if my memory serves me correctly. A Great One!

Here's my top ten, in no particular order:
1. Covering your plate. :rolleyes1 Can't believe that one was simplified to wedding or wedding etiquette. It's in a class all it's own.
2. Parenting. Seriously, any parenting, from free range to helicopters, and everything in between.
3. Requests for medical advise or tips.
4. Immunizations. Maybe that should be included in parenting, but again, it's in a class all it's own.
5. Birthing 'styles'.
6. Facebook is evil vs. Facebook is the best thing since sliced bread.
7. Cellphones for Kids.
8. How to get out of debt or deal with a sudden debt. Someone WILL look up your vacation history or note that you are posting from your smart phone!
9. The "right" age to get married.
10. Scooters and Strollers.

What are snowflake children lol. Must have missed that!

It gets pretty heated about non Disney resort folk using the Disney transportation at DTD and SSR. The type of thread you open with one eye and winch in pain...oh you are going to get a pm from the mod .. So personal.. How do these threads go from valid points to remarks about people's appearances is beyond me... And still she's glued to it lol..

I am another who is stumped by "coffee" as an often controversial topic here :confused3

The ones I notice most (and I pretty much stick to the CB) are (in no particular order):

1. Should kids have cell phones?
2. What constitutes bullying? (both in topics about bullying and in ANY topic in which the OP doesn't like people who do not agree with them).
3. How much reach should school have into life? (allowed to monitor facebook? How many hours of homework? vacations excused? etc)
4. What is or is not okay for a wedding (especially destination weddins and cover your plate topics).
5. How old is old enough to stay home alone? Or in a car alone? etc

Leashes--on kids. I don't know that dog leashes have ever been an issue. Which is a bit of a surprise, in all honesty.

People fishing for handouts around the holidays. Honey baked ham was one thing I recall. And there was something about spilled laundry detergent...

A few others...

Asking for free room upgrades at resorts

Taking buffet food to go

Birthday buttons....what special treatment should I expect?

Brew yourself a fresh pot of coffee, clear your calendar for the rest of the day, search "coffee" on this forum or the Cruise Line Forum, and start reading.;)

What does facts mean?

When someone disputes something is true, when it is undisputably true. Usually done randomly, and always only one person, and somehow it hijacks an entire thread.

I'm sure it has come up from time to time, I just haven't seen it as a frequently recurring theme. If i have to search for it when I read here daily, then I am thinking it is not, to me, a very big theme ;)

Anything regarding disabilities or hidden disabilities

Oh yes! That is a big one.
