How long does it take to get closing docs thru fidelity?

Or I should ask how many days did it take for you to receive them? I know, I know, patience is a virtue. Gotta schedule our 1st trip!

Closing documents do not come from Fidelity but the title company. They use more than one title company so it depends who they use. Worst case I would count on 4 or 5 weeks from ROFR waiver to spending points if you are a current memeber more if you need to wait for a membership number. It can be done in three weeks but i exopect it to be closer to 4 or 5 at the moment as everything including disney seems to be backlogged by the flurry of demand.

It never took more than a few days after ROFR to get the closing documents from First American Title (the title company Fidelity chose for me). It does appear, from recent reports, that things in the Fidelity/First American pipeline have been slowed due to sheer volume. Didn't you just pass ROFR on Monday?

is this an email that I will be getting from the title company or in the mail? I think we're talking about 2 different things..closing papers...to sign & then mail funds..

Again it depends on the title company I received mine by email but some send them out my mail. No we are talking about the same thing. You should have them within a maximum of 14 days more likely to be 7 to 10. After you sign them and mail funds you have another two to three weeks before you can book depending on how fast things go .

I think Minniesgal was trying to give you a bigger picture timeline of what to expect from here:

Up to a week to get closing docs and send them back.

Another week, maybe two to close (depending on how quickly your sellers get their docs notarized and sent back).

Then another week to 10 days for Disney to input your contract once the deed is recorded.

Then another couple of weeks to get the letter in the mail with your member number.

Look at your original documents and figure you will close around the date listed on the contracts! We are selling thru TSS and found out several weeks ago the contract was waived - took 2 weeks for closing docs and another week for buyers to submit docs and just today got word we closed. Our docs show 4/30 as the latest date to close so we are a week a head bonus - but we passed on 3/27 so close to 3 1/2 weeks! BE PATIENT it will happen
