I share our third bedroom with my DD - her half she has the same desk and other types of storage for toys, book and games

Here are a few pics of ours when we finished it a few months ago. We have added a few pictures on the walls and used it so it is a "little" more cluttered now!

IKEA! They had three colors and you can mix & match the colors of the legs too!

I don't know why I read these threads, because all they serve to do is depress me.

I have a little one bedroom apartment and I managed to carve a corner in my living room for a 4x2 Expedit with a desk from Ikea for my scrapbooking. However, it's a vast improvement over the sewing cart I was using.

Someday I will have at least at 2 bedroom apartment (or maybe even a house!) so I can have my own office/craft room.

Sulk

Remember its not the space you use it how you use the space!!!

Wow! More great rooms.

You all have given me grat ideas. I am going to have to take measurements and figure out what furniture I have and what furniture I need. I think I'll do most of my big furniture from Ikea - definitely the Expedit shelves and likely a desk. I have to wait for the Winnipeg store to open!

Maureen, where did you get the paper holders that sit in the expedit?

I agree, I have a 3 bed house, with 2 kids and no space :crowded:, I have to use the dining room table but have to clear it before we can eat. I would love to build an extension but no money

I'll just have to keep dreaming

Just wanted to bump this thread instead of starting a new one.

We got carpet back in March and slowly but surely we've created a great space for me to work.

I shared my space on my shutterfly share page, if you wanna see more detail on some of it (but I forgot to include the dresser in the corner that houses a ton of my supplies), feel free to check it out: http://dacky.shutterfly.com/ournewhouse/135

Here's a couple pictures of it if you don't want to stalk my share page :)

The 4 square papers above the shelves are for some Mickey head wall art that we're making over on the swap boards. I can't wait to hang them!

Perfect timing. My pictures were posted previously but I moved last summer and we are redoing each room. We just finished my scrapbook room this weekend. The room is bigger so I added one piece of furniture and I now have the closet for storage. Here are the pictures!

We're just back from Ikea and I'v almost talked DH into getting expedit for my stoage (can't quite squeeze the big one in:sad2: but can put something next to it). I use 12x12 CM albums (or did - now they've quit the UK I'm on 12 x 12 post-bound :headache) - are those CM albums in your shelves?

This is my space in my Dining Room.

All of the furniture/shelves were picked from the trash.
Except for the 6 drawer dresser, which I paid $20.00 at an auction. It was like new made by Sauder.

I based all the "free" furniture on the color of the dresser so it would match.

Basically all the plastic containers were trash picked including the tall one on the right. If they are clean and in good shape I pick them up.

I drive a School Bus so I see alot of stuff off the main roads.

The corner picture is a 2 drawer hanging file folder cabinet I use for extra organizing. Also "picked".

I use my dining room table as my work space. I use my portable Ott Light as seen in the picture, and when I complete pages they go into their proper book and I clean up so everything stays tidy!

Not too bad for $20.00 and a little cleaning.

Nice furniture. Wish I could find trash like that around here ;)

Here is my new craft room! It was the downstairs office space. We moved DH's office into our spare bedroom upstairs. All of the furniture except for the small desk is from IKEA. I LOVE it!

360 degree views here. I was trying to get my camera to stitch them together for a panoramic, but I couldn't figure it out.
:confused3

Thanks! It took two trips to IKEA before I even made a commitment to anything. I had to sell DH on my vision, and sketch where I wanted everything to go. I am super-pleased with it.

We don't have IKEA anywhere close to where I live so I have to drool over all of your guys' IKEA stuff........some day, I hope to go to an IKEA. Actually, it might take a weekend.......
