Things are quiet around here today. Kids were out for four hours today, but no appointments were being taken so I got my talks all prepared for next week. Now for and packing.

Home from soccer. Team won. Youngest dd played a good game, got tripped in the box, but no PK attempt. Still, she played a good game. Time to rest - allergies still kicking my butt. I'm watching NBA playoffs.

DW and I got a date night last night. We went to see Jurassic Park 3d. I wanted to see it just because I loved JP and I was excited about the idea of seeing it in the theater again. I didn't expect much from the 3d effects of a 20 year old movie that was re mastered and actually, I was almost hesitant to see it just because I thought the 3d would disappoint me. I've got to say I loved it. Maybe it was my low expectations, but I thought the 3d effects were awesome. Of course since it wasn't filmed for 3d, you don't have those sight gags of things jumping of screen at you, and that might actually be a positive. It really did add some depth and made you feel just a little bit more immersed in it. Well worth it and I'm glad we went.

I liked Jurassic Park. DW hates it. She did like the Avengers, but normally doesn't like the movies I select.

Back from the auction, didn't do too good this time, I won nothing, my wife won a month of karate & 2 day passes to the YMCA, not that great but at least we brought something home. Going next week to maybe the last one for me till Oct

Afternoon guys...After work was date night with DW, my parents watched the girls. The church had a music presentation with an amazing cornet player from the UK sitting in. Very good music if you are into Brass Bands (Salvation Army specialties y'know.) Afterwards went for steaks at the Keg...good night.

Hey guys, lots of talk about grim stuff lately. Well, today my world was rocked in the most awesome of ways. My DS was born at 9:42 this morning weighing in at 8 lbs 14 ozs and measuring 20.5" long. Already filling his little mind with all things Disney.

Surprise, surprise... looks like the weatherman cried wolf. All the severe weather and 2"+ of rain ended up being .8" in a light shower.

Unfortunately, it is scaring the crap out of me. They got rain north of Indy while the bulk of it missed us, and that's how the past few rain events have been. Already shaping up the way last summer was, and I do not want to relive that kind of a weather pattern.

Hopefully it won;t be a repeat of last year. See how it plays out. There were reports of a possible tornado north of the GTA, but I haven't heard if it was confirmed.

Another day at the soccer fields. Youngest dd scored a goal and played another good game. We had really nice weather at today. The Spurs seem to be giving the Lakers a clinic today, but I didn't figure it would be much of a series without Kobe. Good to see Meeks (former UK player) get some time, but he won't put up 30.

There will be 8 of us.

Nope, not enough for tour group, but should be fun. Do they still do the Grand Gatherings for meals for groups that size?
