:faint: How long was the cruise?

We always use the stairs and walk the deck 4 track every morning. Gained 2 pounds.

Was on an 8 night cruise with eating out 4 additional days and nights. I gained 5 pounds which I didn't think was bad considering I didn't watch what I ate or drank at all. Had dessert, bread, and Mickey waffles every morning. The only thing I did do was take the stairs every where.

I've lost those pounds and a few more in 10 days.

I gained 8 lbs on our 4 nighter this past Jan. after losing 55 lbs prior to the cruise. I wasn't too upset because I know it was just water weight. A quick low carb diet got that off in a few days. I expected to gain weight, but not 8 lbs in 4 days. I will make sure to hit the gym EVERYDAY on our cruise in 2 weeks to hopefully keep the weight gain to a minimum.

Thanks for the warning! I'm on a 7 night Wonder cruise in October and am on a diet now in preparation. I need to ensure when I'm on the ship I include a morning trip to the workout room!

Congratulations on losing 9! :thumbsup2

Yep I am on the loose to cruise plan. I loose so I can eat onboard and not feel so bad later. LOL!!

Gained 7 lbs on 7-nt Eastern on Fantasy in March. Ran on deck 4 a few times, and ran CC 5k. But ate & drank quite a lot (obviously). Had expected and planned for some gain - it IS vacation after all. Dropped it all plus a pound or 2 in a week after getting back.

Not sure how much I gained on my 7- nighter, but....the shorts I had on for embarkation were wore on disembarkation and they could not be buttoned ( or nearly zipped for that matter)!

Was on the same 8 niter as Mad4eeyor and I lost 4 lbs. very rarely took the elevator. Lots of stairs and walked 3 parks at Disney world. Drink water and eat fruit. Then have fun and enjoy the food.:thumbsup2

I usually gain 3-5 lbs on a 7 night. I have chosen to not look at the scale for the first week after we get home as the sodium intake would make it look much worse than reality, so the 3-5 is actual lbs after the home.

Those of you who are gaining a LOT of weight on a 7 day cruise then losing most of it within a week are gaining water weight, not fat. I wasn't drinking enough water on my cruise last month and ended up with swollen feet every night. Yuck.

Luckily, no real weight gain. DH was not so lucky! :)

I managed to lose eight pounds on my last cruise (seven-day). I walked deck 4 and took the stairs. I ate anything I wanted to. Honestly though, there was so much food that after about day 3, I started skipping lunch and just having a snack.

I don't use salt at home, so having that in my diet onboard always puts a few pounds on. They go away after a week at home with our regular diet.

I can see this happening to us. After 3 days on the DDP at WDW, I felt permanently stuffed and skipped lunch almost daily. I'm going to walk for sure. :thumbsup2

Where is the best place to get drinking water on board? Do they have water at the beverage station or is it best to buy bottled water? I definitely want to make sure I drink enough water!

You can get water at the drink stations and they sell bottled water as well. Water is also available in the dining rooms. We usually take a 12 pack of water with us for when we are in port. tYou can order bottled water online and have it delivered to your state room if you wish.

Hey! I wish I was a disciplined as you were. I forgot about the fruit. It was very yummy.
