I am sure this has been asked/answered but are the irons aboard! I am worried about wrinkles!

Yo can look at the ship floor plan online but from experience on the Fantasy there was one on each floor. The machines are small and the room is busy but I am still glad I did laundry.

Every laundry room has at least 1 iron/ironing board, some have 2.

I'm worried too!! does that mean we will be fighting other people for the iron every morning? I mean,.....the clothes are coming out of our suitcase! iv never unpacked a suitcase full of clothes that didn't need ironed

It's never been a problem when I've had to do some ironing. Consider that on many other cruise lines there are no self-service laundry or ironing capabilities and you either have to go wrinkled or pay them to have your clothes pressed.

The only time I had a problem using the iron was on semi-formal night, when DS produced a shirt from the suitcase (not hanging up!) that really needed pressing.

Usually, if you go early in the day or during dinner times, there's not much problem using either the irons or machines.

We don't iron every morning. We unpack as soon as we're on the ship, and if anything needs pressing that's when we do it.

We also pack stuff that doesn't wrinkle much. Daytime clothes (t-shirts, shorts, etc) don't require pressing.

If you really have a lot to press, you might consider sending it out. Here's the price list for dry cleaning/laundry. Prices for pressing are 50% of the dry cleaning price.

Or even if you have just a few to iron, consider their pressing service. DH had two shirts and two pairs of khakis that were wrinkly. Even with same day service it was completely worth it!

Google or check YouTube for wrinkle-free packing techniques and you'll find some ways to fold or roll your clothes so that there are less wrinkles when you take them out. Also fully unpacking and Downy Wrinkle Release are good ways to get the wrinkles out.

As others have mentioned, there are irons in the laundry rooms. I would suggest rather than waiting til the morning to iron that you take several outfits with you and iron at an off-time so that you aren't having to wait for an iron. Or as others have mentioned, send your items out. Or pack something different ;)

do they allow small hand-held steamer gadget type thingies? that might could do the trick, if they are allowed

We use Downy Wrinkle Releaser or steam from the shower or both.

I have also used Downy Wrinkle Release on both of my past 2 cruises and it works great. I usually unpack everything, spray, smooth out and then hang it all up. Even my dress for semi-formal night (we didn't have a formal night). I use Downy Wrinkle Release any time I travel. But I think if I had something that I couldn't use Downy on, I would send it out to be pressed. I hate ironing.

Plain old water is pretty good at taking packing related wrinkles out of natural fiber clothes. I always pack a small spray bottle when I travel. I hang my shirts and pants and give any wrinkle spots a spray with water and smooth out wrinkles with my hand. I'll be surprised if I need anything pressed professionally.
