We booked a relatively last minute trip (1 month ago) to BCV, and are leaving on Sunday. We are members there who are out of points for the year but wanted to take advantage of the 30% discount. Because of other circumstances, I didn't really book any dining until about 2 weeks ago.
We have 3 girls, ages 11 months, 4 & 7. We really prefer the Epcot area, and we like to eat early (5:30 is ideal).
I worked the reservation system pretty diligently, checking repeatedly for each day and maneuvering around. I guess my point is, you can still have a respectable plan even if you don't jump in months in advance!
4/21: Arrival (noon), Rose & Crown 5:45. (never eaten dinner here).
4/22: Via Napoli 6:15. (could not find anything except around 4 or after 7:30 at all, but then suddenly this one popped up. Pretty siked about this, we've never tried it but have heard good things).
4/23: Yak & Yeti 12:00 pm, Biergarten 5:50 p.m. (I loved our one stop at Y&Y for lunch. Good food, nice and shaded, and the drinks make the afternoon a bit more enjoyable! We've never done Biergarten.)
4/24: Cape May Cafe 8:45 am. Beaches & Cream...whenever! (Kids like CMC, it's convenient, and we've done it once every trip since 2009. No dinner reservations this day, we'll probably go to MK b/c of the projected crowd levels, but would be back in time to hit Beaches & Cream, another favorite that we always like to leave one night open for).
4/25: Hollywood Brown Derby 5:30. (never been, I love Cobb salad, enough said.)
4/26: Kouzzina 8:50, San Angel 5:30. (wife wants to try Kouzzina for breakfast. San Angel is one of our personal favorites because the kids love it, we enjoy the food and atmosphere, and we always enjoy getting there 30 minutes early, getting an amazing margarita at Cava and walking around in the COOL air.)
4/27: Cape May Cafe 5:45. (last night semi-tradition, something for everybody, foods good--not great--but I've found with enough clarified butter you can enjoy anything, and it's convenient for us with the 3 kids who will be pretty tired after a fun week.)
Not too bad for planning just a few weeks out....if I may say so myself! We would love to try Le Cellier, but it's not going to happen and that's ok. We also like Teppan Edo, but truth be told there are 3 hibachi restaurants around us in NJ that are much better so we don't really need to try that one this trip. Thought about a return to Sanaa, or maybe try Boma for the buffet, but it's a pain getting around with the 3 kids and sometimes it's easier to just stay "local".
Also considered Flying Fish, or a night at Downtown Disney (haven't been in 4 years!).
Anything you would change, suggestions? If I continue searching and something falls in my lap, which would you cancel from the above list?
Thanks!
