Sorry Gaston, They are MUCH More Interesting Than You!*6/8* NEW Trip Report Link p154

I'm still trying to catch up, but need to post now!

I always try to wear a sundress to the signature restaurants, heck I even wear one at the regular restaurants. I like to clean up, besides dresses are cooler.

I think I wore a sundress every night this trip, it was perfect and comfy!

My favorite part of the Electrical Parade is Pete's Dragon, just so cool to see it blow smoke.

Mine too!

The college thing is hard to figure out, but once all is decided the relief is wonderful!

We are just starting with Kendall, it's going to be a long year! I'm glad we will get a few years off before we have to worry about the E's.

I just love the look of the Boardwalk & that whole area.

me too!

I think one of those lighted dresses wouldn't be too hard to make. I may try to one someday, it would be fun to wear!

I have twenty more pages to go, then it's on to Jen's TR & Karin's new one. I will be caught up & then on to mine!

If anyone could make one of those dresses, it would be you!

Well friends. We are on our way home. We decided to stop in. Charleston on the way home. We are now officially on the road with only 647 miles to go. Yikes !!! Will try to get to replies tomorrow.

Drive safe!

Safe travels home!

Great pics from your evening! I like the hat too - why do people hate it so much?

Sorry you had to spend time in the hospital during a vacation Mary Ellen! I hope that problem has been resolved! Safe travels home!

Good to hear about photo bucket working better - I'm hoping to finally start a TR now! Trying to organize pictures and thoughts today! I'll post a link and alert the media as soon as I actually do it. I figured today was a good day - the Twins game we were supposed to go to got postponed for inclement weather - I'll say! It's snowing and raining and windy and about 30 degrees! I didn't want to go with that cruddy weather.:(

DISing is way more fun!::yes::

Safe travels

I was thinking you didn't have time for a stop at South of the Border but just then my phone buzzed with the picture on FB from SoB. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Mary Ellen, I hope you have a safe trip home with no delays!!! pixiedust: I always hate getting home so late at night. It makes that "trip coming to an end" feeling even worse!!!

Don't be tempted by all those South of the Border billboards enticing you in along the way to delay you even further!!! :rotfl:

Well, I finally caught up with this TR! Your trip looks like so much fun, so many great things you did & ate. It was so nice of the man to offer you a sip of his beer to taste.

I like the update on the cats, I have a weakness for all cats. We no longer have a cat as ours passed away at the age of 16 two years ago. He was the love of our lives & so handsome.

Oh no... hope all is well but I agree... hospital + vacation = no bueno! But welcome home MK.

Cynthia: I agree, sundresses are so perfect for dinner - at least during warmer weather. If I'd of had any less layers on during the last few days of our Feb/March trip I would have been an ice pop. ;)

What's going on with the DHS hat??? Don't tell me they are thinking of removing that icon?? How dare them!

Cynthia, every time you and Mary Ellen update, I'm amazed at how much ground ya'll cover in a day's time. I've read rumors about the hat coming down but, like you, I'll believe it when I see it.

Mary Ellen, not liking your post about seeing the HHI hospital. Hopefully, it wasn't anything serious.

So I'm home and back at work and busy today, but I will get to replies tonight and an update in the next couple days. Sorry that I am woefully behind on everyone's TRs, but I will catch up there too when I can. We decided we just "had" to see Charleston yesterday, so we went there for an early lunch. That being said, we did not get home until 11pm.

It was a great trip, with the hospital exception, but everyone is fine now. I just have one heck of a story to tell.

Later all. :wave2:

Or wait - I mean - See Y'all! :wave2:

Okay I am caught up and really enjoying it. I did not comment on everything it would have been 3 pages long. :rotfl2:

Now I will stay up to date.

Cynthia, great photopass pictures of you in France. :thumbsup2

You two really got a lot accomplished on that last full-day. Fun and relaxation too. Perfect! :thumbsup2

Honestly I have no idea why people don't like it. It's not the hat that's the flow issue with the park but I think folks blame it on the hat? I don't know. :confused3

It is working SO much better :cool1::cool1: YAY for starting your TR

Subbing. You do the best TRs...like, EVER! :-)

:welcome: we are thrilled to have you here, I am sure Mary Ellen will be along with a welcome of her own once she gets settled in.

I am so sorry for your loss, we love our fur babies.

We ate well on this trip, no doubt!

Oh absolutely weather/season dependent. On our Feb 2009 trip there is no way I could have worn them. Even on the super nice days, it cooled off in the evening too much. I have no idea what I'll wear next Dec/Jan, that is going to be a harder one for me to pack for, definitely. However at best we will only be at one signature and that's without kids I don't need to worry too much about it. You have those cute skirts, for some reason I really struggle with skirts in general, not sure what my issue is. LOL!

What's going on with the DHS hat??? Don't tell me they are thinking of removing that icon?? How dare them!

Only rumors that have been around for some time that if various expansion things happen, it goes and gets replaced. But it is all rumor and speculation. I'm playing Ostrich.

Cynthia, every time you and Mary Ellen update, I'm amazed at how much ground ya'll cover in a day's time. I've read rumors about the hat coming down but, like you, I'll believe it when I see it.

Amazing what you can do without kids in tow....:rotfl2:

Or kids agendas :rotfl2:

Do bear in mind we really didn't go on many rides at all this day or, for that matter, the whole trip! Very different agenda and pace than a family trip. I love them both!

Welcome home! I'm glad you made it to Charleston at least but UGH on the drive and 11pm arrival and...I'll wait for the details!

Sorry I only got one update up, PB was fighting me and it won. :rotfl2: All better now though! And, now that I've fought my way through the mess of my safari photos on my other TR I can do my next update over here!

Okay I am caught up and really enjoying it. I did not comment on everything it would have been 3 pages long. :rotfl2:

Cynthia, great photopass pictures of you in France. :thumbsup2

Thanks!

You two really got a lot accomplished on that last full-day. Fun and relaxation too. Perfect! :thumbsup2

Really can't ask for much more than that, especially on an adult only trip. it was a great day.

You guys really did get a lot covered that last day... Kudos to youdos...:goodvibes

Your server at Brown Derby sounds... well... a little bizarre... not the best way to earn good tips or make customers happy... :confused3 I scheduled a lunch with an Imagineer there in July as a surprise for Eric... I hope he's not on...

Lovely pictures in France Cynthia...

Mary Ellen... you are checking in from vaca? I hope you had a fabulous time and can't wait to hear all about it... although the hospital part sounds dicey...

I have to admit I was laughing throughout that entire update. Someone was feeling a little bit happy after her drinks! ;)

Would that be me? :rotfl2: Guilty as charged.

I give you....a lovely evening in France.

Cute pictures!

I didn't know they were taking the hat down. :confused3 I know a lot of people hate it, but I like it.

[COLOR="DarkGreen" However our waiter was...a space cadet.

Who whined.

He wasn't getting enough tables

He had to wait on tables outside

People were using the Dining Plan

He was happy we weren't.

He was flustered, overly chatty in a bit of a negative way (though I honestly believe he had NO clue he was coming across like that, I think he thought he was pretty neat and funny....which is always unattractive) and if memory serves…a bit sweaty.

Obviously I didn't pay much attention to the waiter because he isn't very memorable. I hate when people talk to much about what they don't like. It immediately turns me off and is very unprofessional. :sad2:
Cynthia: Great accomplishment with opening one park, playing in another, and closing yet another park in ONE day!! I love your photos as you were walking to DHS in the evening ... whatever those settings were - they made for some beautiful photos! :flower3:

Looking back, we really did do a variety of things that day. It was a great day for Cynthia's last full day.

Your HBD dinner was interesting... meaning, not sure about the waiter. I'm wondering if he is the same guy that we had last summer... not a great experience and the meal ended up being comped for sooo many reasons but that is another whole story. ;) It sounds like a lovely evening to dine outside. I'm still a fan of HBD since we have had some amazing meals there so I look forward to returning - if I can get any of my family to go with me!

I would think that HBD would get rid of waiters that just can't cut it. Sounds like your meal was no fun at all. I enjoyed my food and dining outside was lovely that evening. I think I've eaten there four times now and the food has been consistently good.

TSM 40 minutes!!! I'd be there. It's a great way to end an evening!

It was a great way to end the day. :thumbsup2

Again, sounds llike such a lovely day!!!

It really was.

MK: oops! Sorry about the internet. :scared:

Everyone else could sign on but me. How weird. :confused3 I couldn't trouble shoot it so I just gave up. I could have used Denny's computer, but I don't like it. I actually have the newest computer out of everyone so I think it had something to do with something in the newer platform.

rumor! It's only rumors....

Must be the previous server in me...he annoyed me (clearly lol). Unmemorable would be better actually.
