What time to make Kona ADR to be able to watch Wishes from Poly beach?

Hello :wave2:

Sunday is our 180 day mark so I am finalizing details for what ADRs to make.

Our plan for our first night is to eat dinner at Kona and then go down to the Poly beach to watch wishes (actually will be Hallowishes that night). We did this last trip following dinner at Ohana's and it was great

We have never eaten at Kona before so I was wondering how long a typical meal there takes, if they tend to run behind schedule, etc. We want to allow enough time to get down and find room on the beach but not have to kill like 2 hours waiting either.

I am thinking of looking for a 6:45 or 7:00 pm ADR for then a 9:00pm fireworks show. Would that be reasonable or should I allow more/less time?

Thanks! :thumbsup2

Fireworks

Happy HalloWishes Fireworks: Grim Grinning Ghosts Come Out to Socialize
This year you'll see the Haunted Mansion's Grim Grinning Ghosts throw a party in the sky. This is one of the best fireworks shows that Disney does.

Time: 9:30 pm

Dining at Kona should take 60-90 minutes depending on how you prefer to dine. But the later your reservation, the greater the chance that your seating will be delayed. At least in my experience. So opt for the longer estimate.
And since you want to give yourself ample time to stake your claim to a piece of beach front real estate, give yourself an extra half hour on top of that. I think if the show stays at 9:30, an ADR between 7:00 and 7:30 should be OK.

Great advice! :thumbsup2

thank you so much - and for correcting my time for Hallowishes ... I had posted in another thread asking if it was the same time as "normal" wishes but no one had responded
