I stayed at POR last summer and it was lovely. Going back to WDW summer 2014 and although I loved POR, we like to change to see other places. Anyone stayed at POFQ or coronado?
Thanks

I've stayed at POFQ and POR.

They both have their advantages and disadvantages.

POFQ is smaller and more intimate. I really enjoyed my stay there! But I would say it would be boring if you had small children.

POR is larger, and has a great main pool area. The grounds are really beautiful.

CS doesn't really appeal to me. It's a convention center.... but the main pool looks great. The rooms are pretty. But it looks like you'll walk alot, because of the size.

It's a hard decision, but I do like the PO resorts.

I've stayed at POR and POFQ. Of the two I prefer POR. I didn't care for the theming or closeness of POFQ. On my upcoming trip (19 days but who's counting!) I'm trying CSR and hoping to love it as much as I do POR.

We've stayed at POR and CSR. I don't think you can go wrong with either resort. Personally, I'd lean toward POR since the theming at CSR isn't very exotic to us since we live in the southwest.

We have been to Disney 10+ times and have stayed in different resorts.
Our favorite resort is Coronado Springs. The rooms are the best out of all 4 moderates. I have not stayed @ POR but attempted a stay @ POFQ and did not last a day. The rooms were dirty, we had connecting rooms and they were not pleasant. Mousekeeping ??? CS is the only resort out of the moderates that have queen size beds. The pool is amazing! Everthing is right there: pool, Jacuzzi, snack bar & regular bar, volleyball, swings & slides for the kids, arcade. We stay at Casitas 3 there is a quiet pool in between 3 & 4 that is nice in case you or the kids want to take a quick swim. It is in between the main pool and the main area. The walk is not bad at all and there are carts that drive around and will give you a ride if you chose. Another great thing is the Pepper Market, there is a variety of food to select from. It now offers a buffet for breakfast & lunch but has the regular stations for dinner. I have not tried it since it changed to buffet style. Rix Café, boat & bike rentals, an outdoor area outside by the water that you can relax and have a drink. Too many good things about this resort. I definitely recommend staying at this resort. My kids are 22, 14 & 8 and CS is by far there favorite resort as well and that is why we keep going back.

Not true anymore. CBR is now the only moderate resort that doesn't have queen beds. CSR, POR and POFQ all have queen beds.

POR & POFQ are both extremely pleasant resorts. You can't go wrong here.

CSR is a convention hotel. Your stay at the resort depends on what type of convention is there that week, and the number of those attending who will take up your space.

We were at CSR three times. We had regrets two of those times.
The first was a young businessman/businesswoman's convention. The hot tub was always extremely crowded that week - we never got to use it at all. Parking spaces were impossible to find for non-conventioners.
The second was a soccer convention. The young boys "took over" the pools. Some groups were extremely well-behaved, and some were let loose to run all over the place - quite noisily!

We love Port Orleans Riverside & French Quarter. They do have groups, but they seem to have a great handle on the behaviors of those groups. I don't know how they do it, but it appears that the large groups are given a set of rules to follow. There must be consequences - because I have never seen a large group "taking over" the resort.

So - I would choose POR or POFQ. Enjoy your trip! :goodvibes

Also, I'm pretty sure Pepper Market is no longer a buffet...

OP, I love POFQ and POR (in that order), but we're trying CSR next month. I am a bit concerned about its size (we stayed at Caribbean Beach years ago and hated how spread out it was), but the theming looks lovely and the amenities are comparable to those of a deluxe resort. I think it's hard to go wrong with almost any Disney resort. :thumbsup2

You are correct-no buffet at Pepper Market.

I like 1. CSR, 2. POR 3. CBR.

We haven't stayed at POFQ. It doesn't appeal to us, but we visited it when we stayed at POR.

The only thing that CSR had going against it was the walk between things. (one sink didn't bother us..for some that 's a dealbreaker) The pool is not by the main area for food. Other things outweighed this disadvantage: sliding doors for more bathroom privacy, better toiletries, bus service was great, including one of the closest bus stops when you get back on them after a long day at the parks, pool was the best, pool slide the longest, hot tub the largest, volleyball nets, ping pong table, only mod with a health club and spa services. I also wasn't crazy about paying 10% tip for CS food at the Pepper market...but their food was good. Conventioneers didn't mess up the vacation mood in the least.
