Paddleboarding at CSR with alligators?

The Marina at CSR seems to have limited water activities per Buzz 2001 web-site.

It says" The marina is now operating featuring Sammy Duvall's Watersports. You can try paddleboarding or wakeboard/tubing behind a jet ski...."

If you watch the video - you see guests on the lake on a paddle-board, looks like a modified surf-board, with a long paddle. moving around the lake, even near high water-grass, where alligators like to hide.

Why do a paddle-board - where you could loose your balance and fall into the lake where there is no swimming allowed because of alligators and maybe bacteria ?

Bacteria that can kill you (forget the name) is usually found at the bottom of the lake so when you're wakeboarding and whatnot that's really not a problem. The gators Disney tries their best to keep out of guest areas and I trust they can keep their prescense to a minimum if they're putting guests in the water

Wouldn't be something I'd want to do. A couple? of years back someone posted pics of small gators at CSR!

I wish the CSR marina rented the normal little speed boats or even row boats

Last summer we saw an alligator at CSR... Every morning we would sit and have coffee and watch him...

This bacteria is also found in lakes up North. A boy died in MN just last year at a swimming lake.

Now alligators on the other hand....

CSR is Coronado Spring? I never knew they offered wakeboarding and tubing. I also didn't know they didn't have the little speedboats. The things you learn by reading these forums.
