Is the Crystal Palace Breakfast worth it out of pocket? My family loves breakfast foods, and while Winnie the Pool characters aren't the most important to us, we'd still like the interaction. However, paying out of pocket makes me (and my mom) hesitant, especially because we have other table service meals that we KNOW we for sure want to go to. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

I love the food and the characters at the Crystal Palace Breakfast and have no problem paying OOP. Make an early reservation for before park opening and stop to snap some great castle shots on your way to breakfast to really up the value and the experience! :cheer2:

We love it too! We do just as the above poster said. The food is yummy!

If Pooh & Friends aren't your faves, how about Daisy/Donald over at Tusker House in AK or Minnie/Goofy at Cape May or even Lilo/Stitch at Ohana?

My DW and I ended up at CP for breakfast at the tail end of Marathon Weekend and enjoyed the food there. The omelette station was a very nice touch, especially the fact that real eggs were available.

We paid OOP, and although we didn't really care too much about the characters, it was still fun. I looked up from my plate to see Piglet eyeing me warily as I realized that I had a strip of bacon in my hand...

LOL!!! :rotfl: ...at least you didn't say to Piglet "oh would you like some bacon?", dah!! I DID that (the coffee didn't kick in yet) - talk about complete stupidity on my part!!:rotfl2: my dd yelled at me!!...and Piglet jumped backwards (this was while visiting our table & I have it on video!!)...now how can they serve bacon when Piglet is walking around??? REALLY!!! :lmao: ....it's just not right!!

Ooh, good point! We're going in August, so some uncrowded castle shots would really be valuable. (And the pictures I've seen of Pooh's stuffed french toast look amazing!;) )

Well, tbh, we're a little hesitant about character meals in general. My sister (who is 23), my mother, and I (I'm 21) are those who will be going on the trip. We've met characters in the parks before of course, but are wondering if just having adults (who are admittedly young at heart) would be too awkward at character meals. :confused3

Character meals without kids are no problem....DH and I used to do them without even thinking about it! So no worries.

I love the CP and it is on my every trip "must do" list for pre-park opening ADR. I leave this week for a last minute trip and we couldn't ever get an opening (but I will keep trying, darnit!!!) because it is just so great. Love walking down mainstreet early, castle photos unobstructed, and the food is great. Characters are meh, but hey, still worth it for all of the above mentioned and my kids totally disagree and think Pooh and pals are fantastic. So I suffer for the kids! :rotfl:

Crystal Palace is a must do for us. No kids, but fun anyways. the food is good, the service is great. We usually get an early adr , finish breakfast , and get ready to hit the park.

Pooh's french toast is amazing! It is exactly why we are going to do two CP breakfasts in December! My daughter loves the 100 acre woods gang, my best friend loves the scones, and I am addicted to the french toast! :goodvibes

I've been to Crystal Palace a few times, never with kids, and it's always been great! I think the food is pretty good for a buffet, and the character interaction makes for some great photo ops!
